The Plant Helps In Reducing An Annual Average Of 99,100 Tonnes Of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent, By Producing 107,064mwh Per Year Equivalent Amount Of Clean Energy. The Company Has An Installed Generation Capacity Of 8521 MW In India And A Presence In All The Segments Of The Power Sector.

5016 Jakson Power Solutions plans to invest about Rs 750 crore primarily in its solar business in the next three to four years. The firm would also be investing in EPC, generating sets and hospitality. Jakson Power Solutions Managing Director Sameer Gupta said, "We intend to make investments of about Rs 750 crore in the next three to four years. The company has made invested around Rs 300 crore in nearly last two years," The company has a 20 MW solar power project in Rajasthan and plans are on the anvil to increase the generation capacity to 100 MW within three years. In hospitality sector, the company is building three small hotels -- each having about 100 rooms -- in upcoming industrial towns. Two hotels are coming up in Maharashtra and Gujarat while the location for the third one is yet to be decided.The company is exploring opportunities in the solar segment overseas, including in Africa and the Middle East.

5011 Pantaloons Fashion & Retail Ltd will be investing up to Rs 175 crore in the next 12 months on store expansion across India, mainly focus in smaller towns. The company is targeting to open at least one store per month in the next 12 months at an investment of up to Rs 15 crore per outlet. Pantaloons Fashion & Retail Ltd CEO Shital Mehta said, while metros would continue to be part of the strategy, the company is targeting smaller cities and towns. Pantaloons have 71 stores across 35 cities. Pantaloons has about 20-25 “power house brands” which could be developed into standalone labels in future and even open independent outlets for them. Last year, Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd had entered into an agreement with the Future Group to infuse Rs 1,600 crore into ‘Pantaloon’ and acquire a majority stake in the store chain and later demerge it to be listed as a separate entity.

5010 Hindustan Petroleum Corporation has joined with Gas Authority of India to revive an ambitious 32,000-crore petrochemical project in Andhra Pradesh. The Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region ( PCPIR) project could not take off for over six years as both the companies - HPCL and GMR Group - were plagued by troubles. Both HPCL and GMR were to set up a 15-million-tonne-per-annum refinery project each in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada. HPCL proposed a petrochemicals complex. While HPCL was looking for a consortium partner to take the project forward, GMR was held back by unfavorable macro-economic conditions.

5009 ONGC is setting up an integrated gas processing plant in Maharashtra with an investment of nearly Rs 10,000 crore. The plant will have processing capacity of 10 mmscmd and a 30 megawatt captive power plant as part of the project. The Ministry of Environment and Forest has prescribed Terms of Reference for preparation of the environmental impact assessment report and environment management plan for the gas processing plant. A site near Kelwa- Mahim has been selected based on study of 4 alternate sites. If situation like, non-availability of fresh water from surface water for the project will occur, ONGC also think of setting up a desalination plant with an output of 14000 m3/day. ONGC currently has two gas processing plants at Hazira in Gujarat and Uran near Mumbai. ONGC has indicated the assured gas supply from C-24 field and B-12 fields in Tapti Daman Block of Western Offshore Basin for the upcoming project in Maharashtra.

5008 Alstom T&D India has successfully delivered Power Grid Corporation of India’s (PGCIL) 230 KV transmission project, worth around Rs 105 crore (amounting 15 million euro) in Myanmar. The contract covered the supply of a turnkey substation for the 230 kV transmission project which links the 3x40 MW Thahtay Chaung Hydro Power Project to the electrical grid. The full scope covered a 220/66/33kV AIS substation and associated products including substation automation systems, power transformers and network management systems and high voltage substation maintenance. The project is scheduled for commissioning in 2015. 5007 Tata Steel is planning to commence production from Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) Project in Canada by year-end. The project, a JV where Tata Steel Minerals Canada holds 80% stake and New Millenium Iron Corporation - the remaining 20%, is expected to begin during the October-December quarter. Trial production (was) successful in 2012 with initial mining and dry processing of 63% iron grade ore. Plan for 1 MT of iron ore in FY'14, to be ramped up to over 3 MT in FY15. The DSO Project is run by Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd. Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd is also involved in the development of New Millennium's LabMag-KeMag iron ore deposits, which together have proven and probable reserves of 5.6 billion tonnes of low grade iron ore.

5006 JK Tyre & Industries is planning to double the capacity of its Chennai manufacturing facility to around five million tyres per annum within two years. For this the company will invest over Rs 800 crore. JK Tyre & Industries Chairman & Managing Director Raghupati Singhania said, "We plan to invest over Rs 800 crore on our Chennai plant, thereby doubling the capacity of the facility to around five million tyres per annum over the next two years," . The company has already invested about Rs 900 crore on the Chennai plant and is also in the process of investing Rs 150 crore at its two facilities in Mysore and Kankroli. The company is also planning to spend $25 million at its Mexican subsidiary Tornel to augment capacity by 25% in the next twelve months.
