preservation and maintenance of bafh stores-preservation / maint of bafh stores is as under:- n ( a ) preservation of km flots -80 nos, ( b ) preservation of launching roller - 60 nos, ( c ) main girder assy - 108 nos nspecification of works. ( ser no ( a ) n1. removing the above mentioned stores from the existing stock to the required site of work ( approx 20 to 25 mtrs distance ) . n2. remove the float cover, straps etc and unroll on flat surface carefully. skilled workers / mechanics be employed for the task. n3. cleaing / dusting with steel wire brush, emery paper, scrapper and cotton waste etc. n4. locking pin of main girder for smooth functioning and cleaning by using water as directed by sk / age / ge. n5. apply non skid powder ( grade no - 24, make - eagle / equivalent ) for surfacing area of main girder to apply mix lotion with brushes of softener ( araldite aw 106 / equivalent ) and hardener ( araldite hv 953 in / equivalent ) i.e. 100:80 ratio respectievley. hand roller should be used to fix the non skid powder. remaining area of main girder to be painted with one coat of aluminium paint ( grade-i ) ( make - asian / nerolac ) as directed by sk / age / ge n6. painting manually with painting brushes with one coats of aluminum paint ( grade-i ) ( make - asian / nerolac ) for ser no ( c ) as directed by sk / age / ge n7. marking of the main girder of bti with black paint ( grade-i ) ( make - asian / nerolac ) is required to be carried as directed by sk / age / ge. n8. floats & roller launching will be flated by filling the air by filling unit / compressor and testing the air pressure by pressure gauge upto 48hrs for inspection. outer compartment aire pressure shall not be mroe than 100 grams / sq cm and inner will be compartment air pressure shall not be more than 25 grams / sq cm. filling unit / compressor and air pressure gauge supplied by the depatment. fol to be provided by the supplier. n9. defalte air after inspection of floats and roller launching. cleaning and applyfrench chalk manually 6 kgs per floats and 2 kgs per roller launching as directed by site in charge. n10. opening of insert valves after application of french chalk and re-rolling the same as volume size not exceed 1.8x1m of floats as directed by site in charge, strapping and packing with cover as directed by sk / age / ge. n11. french chalk and other cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for preservation of floats and roller launching cost of same is incl in the above job. n12. re-stacking the floats after completion of work on proper dunnage as directed by sk / age / ge n13. all other tools / t&p required for execution of above job sahll be arranged by the contractor. n14. all old material if any will be property of the department. n15. removal of all waste material, debris etc and cleaning of work site before closing the work. n n
