repair and painting of bafh stores at ge engr park bathinda -repair and painting of bafh stores is as under:- n ( a ) boat assault pneumatic light weight ( baps ) - qty 270. ( b ) . paddle timber 1600mm - qty 2748. ( c ) floor board assy ( frp ) - qty 1093. ( d ) planks bow end - qty 635 nspecification of works. ( ser no ( a ) n1. removing the bpas fromthe sheds at work site ( approx 50 to 60 mtrs distance ) . n2. remove the baps cover, straps etc and unroll on flat surface carefully for filling the air by foot pump provided by department and checking the serviceability incl leakage. segregating and testing the air pressure for 12 hrs as directed by sk / age / ge. skilled workers / mechanics be employed for the task. n3. all other minor leakages if detected be selaed with rubber patch after scrubbing and applying adhesive alongwith cross linking agent in appropriate ratio and fix properly as directed by sk / age / ge to make the baps functional in all respects. rubber patch and adhesive incl cla will be provided by the department. n4. the following parts / accessories will be issued to the contractor by the department for replacment of unserviceable items as required at site :- n ( a ) air valve for baps ( b ) charger valve for baps diaphragm ( c ) lace / cord nylon 8.5 mtrs 1 ( d ) circular neoprence spl rubber made patches for n 20cm dia ( e ) circular neoprence spl rubber of 7 dia baps. n5. after completion of the work the baps will be inflated by foot pump provided by department and testing the air pressure for 12 hrs. n6. after inspection of all baps. apply french chalk manuallay qty 03 kgs per baps to serviceable baps and opening of valves after application of french chalk and re-rolling the same as volume size directed by site in charge, strapping and packing with baps cover as directed by site in charge. n 7. re-stacking the stores after compleiton of work on proper dunnage as directed by sk / age / ge. n8. all material and cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for maint except department supply. npaddle timber, plank bow end & frp for ser no ( b ) to ( d ) n9. removing the above mentiones stores from the existing stock and layout at site for inspection and starts the work ( approx 20 to 25 mtr ) . n10. cleaning / dusting the abvoe store by scrapper, steel wire brush, emery paper and cotton waste to make the surface rust / dust free before the starting of work. n11. painting manually with painting brushes with one coat of paint og ( gde-ii ) ( make – asian / nerolac / berger ) for ser no ( b ) to ( d ) . n 12. re-stacking the stores after completion of work on proper dunnage as directed by sk / age / ge. n13. all tools / t&p required for execution of above job shall be arranged by the contractor. n14. removal of all waste material, debris etc and cleaning of work site before closing the work. n15. all material and cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for maint.
