major repairs of 120 tr screw type compressor of air conditioning chiller plant no. 2 installed at terrace of convention centre, jammu-major repairs of damaged 120 tr screw type compressor of 120 tr capacityair conditioning chiller plant no. 2 installed at terrace of convention centre, jammu by way of disconnecting the main electrical supply to the plant andvacuumising the whole plant byway of transferring the refrigerant gas r-22 from the plant into the empty cylinders with the help of vacuum pump. then the compressor oil is drained out through the drain valve into empty container and all the inlet and outlet connections, pipes etc are disconnected. the compressor is removed from its installed position and sent to workshop for required repairs. the job also includes dismantling the compressor into its components and taking out its damaged/worn-out components i.e rotary screw assembly, shaft, inlet suction filter, oil filter, anti friction rollers, ball bearing ,suction valve, discharge valve , compressor motor etc. the compressor chamber is cleaned thoroughly to remove all the traces of dust sediments etc with the help of cleaning agent. the damaged rotary screw element, shaft and compressor motor are replaced with new one of same specification as per sample. all the inlet suction air filters, oil filters, shaft seals, anti friction roller and ball bearings are replaced with new one as per sample. the job further involves assembling of screw compressor and closing the same by way of replacement of different seals like air seal, visco seal, etc and then tightening of the drain valve. the compressor is shifted to site of installation by way of using mechanical transport/manual labour and special tool and tackles. the job involves installation of restored 120 tr screw type compressor of air conditioning chiller plant no. 2and then topping with fresh compressor oil of 68 grade upto 70 ltrs into the compressor chamber and then restoration of all the outlet and inlet pipe connections at the installed position. then nitrogen gas is filled in the unit to a pressure of 1.5 times of operating pressure of plant and retained for 24 hrs. during the retention period, the leakages, if any, are checked by soap bubble detection test. the leaked spots are sealed by copper brazing process. then the plant is recharged with stored refrigerant gas r-22 . then all the required electrical connections are restored after which the plant is switched on and the newly repaired/assembled compressor is tested for its performance. the job includes complete testing of the plant on no-load and full load condition. complete job includes cost of material, transportation, labour charges and all types of taxes etc.
