bids are invited for custom bid for services - repair, maintenance, inspection & overhauling of various mechanical equipment’s in 4.0 mt area section of water management department. -major repair of pumps above 75kw contains following activities : 1. ensure hydraulic isolation by opening drain plug. 2. remove coupling guard and decouple pump with motor. 3. dismantling the pump:- a. loosen and remove all the bolts of the top cover, then remove the top cover. b. remove the bearing housing bolts. c. take out the rotor assembly for dismantling. meanwhile if the pump maintenance job would not get completed on the same day, put back the top cover and do required blanking so the there is no leakage from the pump body. 4. dismantling of the rotor a) shift rotor from pump house to store b) remove flange coupling, use puller if necessary. c)remove gland rope. d)remove bearing housing covers. e)remove bearing housings. f)remove lantern rings. g)remove gland boxes. h)remove the gland bushes. i) remove the sling rings. j)remove conical discs. k)remove the impeller from the shaft. 5. assembly of the rotor a) collect new/ refurbished shaft from store. b) fabricate key for new shaft. c) fix impeller on the shaft by centering it wrt bearing seating. d) fix conical disc. e) fix new/ refurbished gland bushes. f) fix gland check nuts. g) fix gland boxes. h) fix lantern rings. i) fix sealing rings. j) fix bearing covers. k) make bearing seating and fix new bearings. l) grease the bearings & fix bearing housings. (provide spacers if required.) m) make coupling seating. n) fabricate coupling key. o) fix coupling. p) shift rotor to pump house from store. 6) fixing of rotor. a) open the pump top cover by removing fixing bolts b) lift the rotor by crane after proper slinging. c) position the rotor on lower body. d) align the conical disc sling rings and bearing housing wrt lower body. e) fix the rotor on lower body & tighten housing bolts. g) check the freeness of the rotor and provide gland packings. h) cut top cover joint packing & place it on lower body. i) place the top cover & tightened the joint bolts. j) provide final round of gland packings and fix gland boxes. k) tighten gland box studs & do leakage testing by getting open suction valve. (give clearance of motor alignment) l) make coupling bushes & coupling bolts ready. (m) do coupling after motor alignment & fix coupling guard. 3 4004297851 gland & coupling bush changing & bearing greasing of pumps contains following activities: (a)gland addition. 1.take shutdown. 2.get the pump hydraulically isolated by opening drain outs. 3.remove gland stud nuts. 4.remove gland boxes. 5.remove old gland pickings. 6.cut new gland pickings of proper sizes. 7.insert gland packing turn by turn and press with gland box. 8.fix the gland boxes & tighten gland stud nuts. 9.close the drain outs. 10.do leakage testing. 11.cancel shut down. (b)bearing greasing. 1.take electrical shut down. 2.remove bearing cover bolts & remove bearing covers. 3.remove old dry grease of both of the bearings. 4.feel the condition of the bearing cage & balls by hands. 5.if bearings are ok. apply fresh grease. 6.fix the bearing covers back & tighten cover bolts.
