tender for pme work and grass cutting work on southern runway in tech area af stn gwalior; 1 m&l for application of 1st coat of polymer modified emulsion (pme - rw) on flexible pavement of runway/links by mechanical sprayer equipped with pressure distributor in which 60 to 70% quantity of total mix (water : pme) shall be used.before application of pme, surface preparation of flexible pavement surface will be done by scraping & cleaning of all dust, loose particles etc by brushing/brooming and cleaning down by air compressor. the work will be carried out by manufacturers applicators or authorized applicators complete all as specified and directed by engineer in charge. water shall be added in the ratio as recommended by ge/ engr-in- charge based on results obtained by trial patches.note 1 :- pme shall be measured and paid separately.note 2:-the quoted rate includesm&l for 03 trial patches of size 5m x 5m using different proportion of material at selected location as directed by ge or airforce authorities before starting of work on runway. 2 m&l for application of 2nd coat of polymer modified emulsion (pme - rw) as final coat on flexible pavement of runway/links by mechanical sprayer equipped with pressure distributor in which 30 to 40% quantity of total mix (water : pme) shall be used after application of 1st coat. the work will be carried out by manufacturers applicators or authorized applicators complete all as specified and directed by engineer in charge.note 1 :- pme shall be measured and paid separately.note 2 :-the quoted rate includes carrying out skid resistance test (srt) after application of final coat as per periodicity in accordance with is/standard engineering practices. 3 supply only polymer modified emulsion (pme - rw) complete all as specified and directed by engineer in charge. 4 m&l for cutting of grass, bushes, shrubs etc around signage/dtgm boards/controller huts, edges of runway/links shoulders & rcc covered drains etc in airfield area mechanically by petrol driven brush cutter upto ground level and making the area neat and clean by removing/throwing the grass clippings/rubbish to a distance not less than 500 mtrs away from runway complete all as specified and directed.make of machine : kishankraft kk-bc-8640 or equivalent as approved by ge.note : rates are included for collection of grass clippings/rubbishmanually by extra labours deployed by the contractor on same day and removing/throwing away as specified above. 5 supply only 02 xtractors of minimum 40 hp engine (alongwith one driver, one helper & fuel)for fixing grass mower attachment provided by airforce and cutting of grass & shurbs upto ground level with complete all as specified and directed. note : 1. working days shall be decided by airforce authorites.2. working time will be from 6.00 am onwards and upto 2.00 pm. any change in timing will be decided jointly by engr-in-charge and airforce authorities. 6 m&l for cutting of grass,shrubs and vegetation of any type & height on runway/ links/dispersal shoulders by grass mowers mulcher machine operated with tractor upto ground level and making the area clean by collecting the grass clippings/rubbish in grass catcher mechanically and throwing to a distance not less than 500 mtrs away from runway complete all as specified and directed. make of machine : maschio or equivalent as approved by ge.note : contractor shall deploy extra labours without any extra cost for collection of grass clippings/rubbish left over or not collected in grass catcher by manually on same day and removing/throwing away as specified above.
