| 1 | Earthwork in excavation or re-excavation of drainage channels / rivers in all kinds of soil including silt, sand, slush etc. mixed with all sorts of Industrial wastes, sewages, municipal garbage, carcasses, tannery effluents, jungles, bushes, semi-solid / solid campact mass, water hyacinth, cowdung deposits, decomposed vegetations, polythenes, brick bats, gravels, stone ballast, crates, remnant of bullah and bamboo pins etc. by means of suitable excavator mounted on pontoon (min. depth of water 0.75 metre) specially made to suit the site condition in tidalor non-tidalchannel/river and carrying of the excavated materials to suitable locations of the channel / river bank from the point of excavation by diesel machine operated boats or similar arrangements in a manner suited for the purpose and placing the excavated materials from the boat etc. on the top of the bank in case of disposal at suitable places arranged by the agency at his own cost, on the bank at available locations having distances from the point of re- excavation as shown below, by means of excavators or any other machines or manually as may be required, including all lifts. Measurement : By Pre-work and Post- work level sections. Pre-work level for the existing bed of the channel / river is to be taken by displacing water hyacinth and all other floating materials including compact masses, carcasses etc. and for which no extra payment will be made. Post-work level section will be taken only when a stretch of at least 300 metre is completed and the said post-work will be taken within 7 days after completion of excavation in that reach. |

| 7 | Supplying, spreading and compacting Sand to required thickness, in layers not exceeding 150 mm to proper gradient and camber, inundating each layer by water and packing and ramming layer by layer to achieve desired compaction, including lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary, curing with water as per direction, mending cracks and ressions by ramming wherever necessary. Note: Add cost at site of the materials to arrive at thecomplete rate. The compaction factor for dry, cleansand may be taken as 0.835 (The payment is to be made on the basis of thefinished compacted volume.) |

| 14 | Plain / Reinforced Cement Concrete in Sub¬structure with coarse aggregates of appropriate nominal size and grading, fine aggregate (sand) conforming to proper grading zone, both of approved quality, cement and water reducing admixtures, as necessary, including labour, cost and carriage of all materials and including preparation of design mix, approval of the same by the Engineer-in-Charge and cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. all complete as per drawing and technical specification including the cost of necessary form work and staging complete as per drawing and technical specifications.
