| 1 | Checking/testing of Earth resistance value of earthing pits Installed inside Darjipura, Makarpura, Harni camp and Harni airfield area as required basis as directed by Engr in Charge or as scheduled and making the damaged earthing serviceable by pouring salted water into earthing or making continuity by GI strips and bringing down the resistance value within specified limits. including maintenance of existing earthing by cleaning the earth chamber funnel and cleaning of vegetation surrounding earthing pit up to 2 metres.Note: (i) The entire station will be divided into two zones as per earthing location and the contractor shall deploy separate team for each zone to test the resistance value of earthings in each zone to complete the process within one month. The entire process will be repeated after every three months upto completion of the contract. (ii) One earthing testing in one season ie is measured as one job.(iii) Digital Earth tester will be arranged by the contractor on his own without extra cost to Govt. (iv) Date of testing and due date of testing will be written on the register with sign of user rep & Engr-in Charge shall be submitted to GE. (iv) Testing and corrective action shall be taken within one month from date of commencement i.e. approx 200 earthings shall be completed within one month. Thereafter or as directed by Engr-in Charge and same is to be completed within one month.The contractor shall be deployed requisite electricians with helper including testing equipment and all the resources to complete the task within one month.(v) If any material required for improvement of resistance value of earthing pit the same will be measured and paid separately under relevant items. |
| 2 | Taking out old damaged lightning protection strip strip aluminium /Copper /GI earthing strip of size 25mmx3.15mm to 32 x6mm fixed from roof of building,pillars, walls etc along with broken insulator and refixing the same on roof, pillars, walls etc. complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) New epoxy insulator shall be measured and paid separately(ii) The strip shall not touch with the wall/ roof surface /pillar surfaces etc. |

| 13 | M&L for Earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 3.15mm thick buried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 2.25 meters deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 meters below normal ground level, connected to copper earth lead 20x3mm (copper strip) upto 7.5 meter long by means of bolts,nuts check nuts and washers of all galvanised iron or steel including layer of BFC (Backfilling compund chemical), earth conductivity enhancing compound around both side 15cm thick layer and 15 cm layer top and bottom ( Volume 90cmx 90cmx 30cm) all as shown in electrical plate No.3 of SSR Part I 2009 and as specified or indicated and testing on completion including excavation/earth work in any type of strata, PCC (1:3:6) type C1 earthing chamber, precast RCC slab 50 mm thick in reinforced cement concrete (1:2:4) type B1 reinforced with welded steel wire fabric XPM jali weight not less than 4 Kg/Sqm, cast iron frame, funnel with wire mesh,15 mm bore medium grade GI watering pipe, lugs, 25 mm bore medium grade GI protection pipe, test point etc. complete all as specified and directed.Note: (i) Item includes the cost of earth strip, GI pipe up to 7.5 metre for protection of earth lead and necessary excavation, filling in & removal complete. |

| 15 | Supply and instalation & testing of tripod (SET OF 3) of fast copper earth electrode maintenance free chemical earthing inter connected (distance between the earth 1.5Mtr from each other) with copper earth strip 32x6mm and making tripode each earthing having 3 mtr long copper pipe of diameter 76 mm. There should be terminal for connection of 20 x 3 mm of copper strip with two holes of 14 mm diameter. FAST ELECTRODE is duly fitted with the highly conductive material with sealing at both ends with lead terminals of 20x3 mm copper strip at top, BFC (Backfilling compund chemical), earth conductivity enhancing compound alongwith Minimum 6 bags of 25 Kgs each of earth enhancing compound, including drilling a bore in earth of dia minimum 300 mm dia. The chemical should be tested and certified by any international accredited laboratory. The earthhencing compound should be tested referring to protocol IS 1350/&/EC62321/111/54/CDV. The PH value of compound should be between 7 to 8. The content of mercury (Hg) & Hexacromium should be below detection level. The electrode should be tested for salt spray test as per BIS117-09 for corrosion for minimum 500Hrs. The FAST ELECTRODE shall be duly tested & Certified by CPRI (Central Power Research Institute), Govt of India for a suitable minimum short circuit current for 1 second with initial pick of suitable KA. The Fast ELECTRODE shall be approved by CPRI, ERDA/NABL Lab complete all as specified and directed.Note : Earth strip size 20mmx 3mm for making tripod and up to 5 Mtr from earthing set is deemed to be included with unit rate of item beyond 5 mtr earth strip will be measured and paid separately.
