Surface Preparation - The concrete Surface is to be made free from all depression/undulations, dust dirt, laitance and all the adhesion inhibiting material. Depressions, holes, and any undulations on the entire surface if any must be treated/filled with high-strength polymer modified mortar/ micro concrete and the surface should be fully repaired and levelled.

Waterproof Coating – After the entire surface preparation has been done, pre wetting of the entire concrete surface and providing and application of the 1st coat of Velosit WP 124 of VELOSIT or 2CWS of C.P.I (Concrete Product India) or equivalent with a mason’s brush. After the 1st coat has sufficiently dried the 2nd coat of Velosit WP 124 of VELOSIT or 2CWS of C.P.I (Concrete Product India) or equivalent can be applied. The total consumption of the product should not be less than 3.50kg/sqmt in 2 coats. The product should have a tensile elongation of 60%, tensile strength of 2Mpa, adhesion strength of 2Mpa, crack bridging capacity of 2.4mm as per ASTM C- 836 and water impermeability of 5 bars on positive and 1.5 bar on negative side as per EN 12390 – 8 complete as per manufacturer’s specifications and direction of Engineer-in-Charge complete. Providing and fixing Joint Sealing Tape of approved make of Concrete Products India (CPI) or equivalent (Joint Sealing Tape made up of High end polyethylene with upper and lower surface heat laminated of width 200 mm, weight of Joint Sealing Tape per metre of width 200 mm should be 0.050 kg/m with variation + 5% having tensile elongation 300% and water impermeability 5 bars from the positive side as per EN 12390-8) for water proofing on the Joints of Toilets, Rain water outlets, Khurras, pipe recesses/penetrations in kitchens and bathrooms etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
