| 1 | Excavation in earthwork in hilly area by mechanical means all hights and depth, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil , ordinaryrock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side,water pollution , etc. and to protect stabality of hill side . Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting / excavation , including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades , side slopes, width, chamber, super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in - Charges, in conformity with the requirement of techanical specification for Rural Road, August 2004 and clause 16.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation wodth including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut matereial inspecified manner,tremming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as dirrected by the Engineer-in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery of useful stone that is 365.71 cubic meter in all cases falling which recovery @ Rupees 300/- only (Rupees three hundereed only) per cubic metre shall be effected on prorata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |
