Dismantling of Sulphur Filter No. 2-Work Involves: Make all required arrangements for the work, including scaffolding, arranging necessary tools, and providing safety harnesses. After getting process clearance dismantle all molten sulphur, air, hydraulic hose and steam line connections. Provide dummies in the sulphur/steam inlet and outlet lines. Remove all filter leaves and keep them in the earmarked area. Make necessary site/platform modifications for crane approach, subject to the approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. Any structural dismantling/providing temporary supports if required shall be done without affecting other filters. Safely dismantle the filter shell and dish end along with its roller support structure. Hydraulic power pack including piping shall be dismantled and removed from site. The filter and damaged structures are to be transported to the scrapyard with the approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. All componets/piping/hoses/hydraulic system/structurals related to sulphur filter 02 shall be dismantled and removed.

Platform Modification as per New Filter DimensionsWork Involves: Transport the required materials from the store. Make all required arrangements for the work, including scaffolding and the provision of necessary tools. Take dimensions from new sulphur filter.Fabricate and erect new structural supports for the filter as per requirement. Existing supports shall be modified as per site instructions. The overall orientation of the filter shall be adjusted in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge. Provide necessary support for new piping as per requirements. All structural works to accomodate new filter including walkways,platforms shall be done in this scope of work and and structural dismantling if required shall also be done.After completing the work, all scrap must be shifted to the designated scrapyard.

Erection and Commissioning of the New FilterWork Involves: Make all required arrangements for the work, including scaffolding, necessary tools, and safety harnesses. Transport the new filter and its accessories from stores to work site.Erect the shell with frame on the foundation and tighten the foundation bolts firmly. The levels shall also be checked and corrected.Erect and assemble the retraction frames as per relevant drawing. Mount the hydraulic cylinders and connect the hydraulic hoses.Erect the hydraulic power pack on the platform. Connect the hydraulic power pack with hydraulic pipe to cylinders. Fix the manifold in level and internal leaves housing assembly.Install the filter leaves into the manifold. Make sure all the leaves are fitted with O rings. Mount the vibrator and vibrator shaft. Any temporary structures required for placing the filter over the support must be fabricated and installed by the contractor. All hose connections including crimping (if required) for the hydraulic system shall be done by the contractor. Any temporary supports if required for erection shall be provided and same shall be removed after erection.Overall alignment of the filter shall be done. After erection the retractions/movements shall be checked to the satisfaction of engineer in charge and any rework/alignment if required shall be done.Total weight of filter with its support is 15 tonne. Length is 10.3m and width is 2.3m.

Piping work for new filter.Work Involves: Collection and transportation of materials from stores, cutting required number of plates for special flanges, transporting to the workshop for machining and collecting after the work, fabrication of jacketed piping with inside stainless steel and outside carbon steel pipe. Fabrication of jacketted line for hookup of existing sulphur lines to new filter. Rerouting of lines will be under the scope of contractor if required. All sulphur/steam (upstream and donw stream ) lines related to sulphur filter shall be fabricated and erected and hooked up with the existing system. Please Enable Macros to View BoQ information
