Provision Of New Marconite Earthing Pits At Af Stn Carnicobar.; 1 Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exceeding 1.5 mtrwide and not exceeding 1.5 meter in depth for taking out and laying UG cable and getting out, excavated earth, forming bottomsurfaces to required level complete all as specified and directed. 2 Excavation in trenches in soft / disintegrated rock (layer of calcium sedimented rock)exceeding 1.5 mtr but not exceeding 3 mtrwide and not exceeding 1.5 meter in depth for laying under ground cable/HT/LT poleand getting out, excavated earth, forming bottomsurfaces to required level complete all as specified and directed. 3 Removing excavated material (soil) exc 50 m n.exc 250 m and depositing where as directed at a level n.exc 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed. 4 Supply & installation of factory made Pre-Cast Marconite chemically mixed corrosion free electrode rod of size 85mm dia x 3000mm length with centrally inserted solid copper rod electrode of Dia 15mm x Length 3000 mm (Mixing ratio of Marconite with cement and water is 3:1 and 1 ltr water per 4 Kg Marconite). Earth enhancing materials should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its pH should be in neutral range. (Test Report of Earthing Material as per IEC 62561-7 to be furnished by the contractor. Desired Earth Resistance must be Less than 1 Ohm and shall be proved practically at site. In case of excess value of earth resistance, contractor has to make the earthing good till achieving desired value in front of Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost). 5 Note:- (ii) Contractor has to produce OEM Test Certificate of each Marconite rod before payment.(iii) No extra cost shall be included if contractor is liable to repeat the job or replace the material in case failed to achieve the desired earth value at site.(v) M&L for Brazing of all copper strip joints shall be included in quoted rate.(vi) Jointing of strips with nut bolts shall not be accepted at site.(vii) M&L for Earth pit cover made up of FRP Rust Proof with bottom dia 330mm, top dia 254mm and height 260mm, having load bearing capacity of 3 tons, with factory Built Holes for accessing Strip/Wires easily at two sides including measuring the resistance value of earthing and writing on top of cover with white/black colour synthtic enamel paint of existing chemical earth pits complete included in quoted rate. 6 M&L for filling up of Back Fill Compound (Moister Retainer Earth Compound) mixture of Alumina 18%, Silica 19%, Bentonite 17%, Graphite 21%, Magnesium 23% into the earth pit for enhancing the resistivity of soil after inserting the Marconite Pre-cast elctrode into the earth pit complete all as specified and as directed.Note: (i) Slurry preparation (Bentonite + RO water) shall be done in such a manner that there will be no cavity or void in the earth pit. (ii) Proper compacting around the pit shall be done with the help of vibrating rod electrically driven so that there will be no void or cavity in the pit. (iii) Necessary frame work upto the depth of 3.2mtr shall deemed to be included in quoted rate. 7 Supply & fixing earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in heavy grade PVC conduit of approved make wherever indicated for loop earthing etc by using copper strip 32x6 mm including ceramic saddles/ bus bar insulators of suitable size as required complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) PVC pipe shall be measured and paid separately under respective items (ii) GI clamp of suitable size for fixing PVC pipes is deemed to be included in quoted rate. 8 Supply and fix test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. head screw all as specified and directed.Note: (i) Rate for FRP enclosure/junctionbox (Approved make only) of out door type of suitable dimension is included in quoted rate. 9 Supply and fixing Unplasticised PVC pipes of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 fixed complete to walls, trenches or in floors etc. 40 mm bore to cover the copper earth strips. complete all as specified and as directed. 10 Demolition of cement concrete in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and as directed. 11 Material and labour for Plain Cement concrete in foundations, filling and mass concrete1:3:6 type C2using 40mm graded stone aggregateas in foundations and mass concrete all as specified and as directed. 12 Material and Labour for 10mm thick rendering onfair faces of brick work or concrete surfacesin cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smoothwith out using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.
