| 1 | Removal of GI sheet roofing (approximately 20.00 Sqm) of the existing cycle shed near by the place of work. The GI sheets removed are to be stacked at a located place in the compond as shown by the Engineer - in -charge. The GI sheets are to be removed for erection of the doube scaffolding for execution of the repair works. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account. All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 2 | Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, upto 7 to 10 storey /35 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of different / all nature of works and removing the scaffolding thereafter. The scaffolding shall be for approximately 6 to 7 metres width covering the toilet blocks from ground floor to top floor on the left side and right side of the main entrance of Telephone Bhavan building. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen. |
| 3 | The scaffolding shall be erected for attending all necessary civil works (cost of repair works shall be paid for separately under each relevant item). Necessary arrangements shall be made for completely stopping the dripping of water onto the window openings so that the repair works can be taken up un- interuptedly. It should be taken care that while erecting and removal of the scaffolding no damage should be occurred to the building. Any damage which may occurr while erecting or removal of the scaffolding shall be gotrepaired properly by the Contrcator without any extra cost. Extreme care is to be taken while erection of the scaffolding to ensure that no untoward mishaps occur. The entire area where the scaffolding is being erected shall be barricaded while the work is being executed and necessary sign boards in multi- language shall be placed. BSNL shall in no way held responsible in the event of occurence of any untoward mishap. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account.All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 4 | Note :- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. |
| 5 | (2) The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works including any unforeseen works which may crop up while execution of the works. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account. All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 6 | Providing and fixing flexible plastic safety net of approved type (apperture size should be such that no dismantled materials shall pass through it) alround the scaffolding at work place during the entire period of execution of work to protect people/vehicles from falling of dismantled materials or any other construction material. The safety net shall be properly fixed so that the safety net sahll not be loosened or opened at any place which may lead to any untoward incident. If the safety net is damaged at any place the same shall be got rectified immediately. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account.All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 7 | Dismantling of window vertical RCC fins up to 6th floor level on left side of the main entrance into building (North side) and upto to 10th floor level on right side of the main entrance into building (North side) or upto 35m height. The RCC fins are of approximate sizes 0.90 x 1.50 m - 29 Nos and 0.60 x 1.50 m - 35 Nos. All the RCC Fins in the windows on the North side (main entrance into the building) are to be removed carefully and stacked at ground floor. The RCC fins are of approximately 0.10 m thick and all the window fins totalling to 64 Nos (0.90 x 1.50 x 0.10 m - 29 Nos & 0.60 x 1.50 x 0.10 m - 35 Nos) from ground floor windows upto windows in 6th floor on left side and upto 10th floor on right side of the main entrance into buidling are to be removed. The work regarding removal of RCC fins involves cutting of the support reinforcement provided from beams or columns, making all necessary arrangements so that all the RCC fins are removed carefully and brought down to the ground floor. The work may have to be executed on scaffoldingand hence all necessaryprecautions, safety measures, insurance to work men, necessary barricading, watch and ward men, all necessary equipments etc have to be provided and ensured by the agency. Removal of all the 64 Nos RCC fins shall form a job work. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account. All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in - charge. |
| 8 | Chipping of unsound / weak / spalling concrete material frombeams/ columns etc. alround the window / ventilator openings (8 Nos openings of approximate size 3.23 x 1.50 m & 9 Nos openings of approximate size 3.23 x 0.60 m ) in the toilets and shafts to the left and right side of the main entrance to into the telephone bhavan building including beams/columns of the building wherever corrosion occurred. All the loose materials alround the jambs shall be removed with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars of all dia to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry including applying anti rust coating on exposed reinforcement with Nitoprime Zincrich of M/s Fosroc Chemicals (India) Pvt Ltd or equivalent and providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved make as per Engineer-in-charge directions and manufacturer’s specifications, on all chipped portions and making the surface ready for taking up the repair works subsequently. All complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. All extreme precautions / care shall be taken to ensure that no loose materials shall fall outside the periphery of the safety net while dismantling of the concrete. |
| 9 | The work is to be executed upon scaffolding upto 6th to 10th floor of the left and right side of the main entrance of the building respectively. Complete Loose / spalling concrete shall be removed at all the places which are accessible to the scaffolding. Removing of loose concrete near all windows / ventilator openings (16Nos) shall form a job. Rate includes all complete including insurance to the workmen, tools, labour charges etc. and nothingover and above shall be paid on any account. The decision of the Engineer - in - charge regarding the places where ever the dismantling is to be done is final and binding. The malba is to be stacked in the compound at a located place by the Engineer - in - charge. All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 10 | Removal of peepal trees including taking out all the roots from inside the walls upto 7th to 10 th floor level or 35m height (on North side of building) at all the places which are accessible to the scaffolding and applying special chemical of approved brand & manufacture and as per manufacturers specifications to the defective areas to prevent future tree growth and finishing the same with cement concrete/mortar with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand) or RCC 1:1.5:3(1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand : 3 coarse aggregate of 6 mm) to match the surface of existing walls. Rate includes insurance to the workmen, tools, labour charges and nothing over and above shall be paid on any account. All complete as per directions of Engineer in charge. |
| 11 | Removing of existing window grills consisting of MS frame and 75 x 25 mm weld mesh of the complete shaft portion ( shafts on both sides i.e. left and right side of the main entrance into the building) and all the windows / ventilators of toilets (left and right side of the main entrance into the building). The grills shall be removed from windows / ventilators / shaft portions for openings upto 6 to 10 floor / 35 m height and the work is to be executed on scaffolding. Total number of grills approximatley 71 Nos (0.30x1.50m - 14nos, 0.75x1.50m - 21nos, 0.30x0.60m -18nos, 0.60x0.60m - 18nos) shall be removed. Extreme care and all necessary precautions shall be taken while execution of the work. The removed grills shall be stacked at a located place in ground floor. Nothing extra shall be paidover and above on any account. Removal of approximate 71 Nos grills, as mentioned above, shall form a job. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account.All complete(including insurance) and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 12 | Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete upto all levels. |
| 13 | Providing necessary repairs and making good the surfaces of jambs of windows & ventilators, chipped out (damaged) portions of beams and columns and all other required places with RCC 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand : 3 coarse aggregate of 6 mm) wherever RCC concrete casting is feasible. Finishing withcement plaster 1: 3 ( 1 cement : 3 fine sand) of required thickness for finishing the damaged surfaces (wherever RCC concreting is not feasible) and also the places wherever concreting is done. The repair works are to be done for window / ventilator openings (8 Nos openings of approximate size 3.23 x 1.50 m & 9 Nos openings of approximate size 3.23 x 0.60 m ) in the toilets and shafts to the left and right side of the main entrance to into the telephone bhavan building and also for the columns, beams and surfaces wherever required to be repaired. The work is to be executed upon scaffolding upto 6th to 10th floor of the left and right side of the main entrance of the building respectively at all the places which are accessible to the scaffolding. Repairing of the surfaces near all windows / ventilator openings (16Nos) shall form a job. The work is to be executed at all heights up to 35 metres height by taking all necessary safety measures. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account.All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 14 | Providing and fixing hard drawn steel wire fabric 75x25 mm mesh of weight not less than 7.75 Kg per sqm to window frames etc. including priming coat with approved steel primer all complete. |
| 15 | Structural steel work riveted, bolted or welded in built up sections, trusses and framed work, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer all complete. |

| 18 | Rebate for taking away the MS grill made of frame with MS flat 25 x 4 mm and weld mesh 75 x 25 mm. Approximatley 71 Nos (0.30x1.50m - 14nos, 0.75x1.50m - 21nos, 0.30x0.60m -18nos, 0.60x0.60m - 18nos) shall be taken away on as is where is basis. GI roofing sheets removed from the exisitng cycle shed are also to be taken away on as is whereis basis. The contractor has to submit the weigh bridge receipts for the net weight of the scrap material. All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in - charge. |
| 19 | Disposal of building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground or as approved by Engineer-in-charge for all leads including all lifts involved. Nothing extra shall be paid over and above on any account.All complete and as per the directions of the Engineer - in -charge. |
| 20 | Important Note: (i) The intending bidders shall definitley visit the site of work, also get fully acquainted with the scope of the work and get all the queries clarified before participating in the tender. Participating in the tender shall be presumed that the bidder has got fully acquainted with the site of work, the scope of work and no requests in this regard shall be entertained later on. ii) All the above works shall be executed with utmost care and by using all safeguards. All the workmen shall be properly insured and the contractor shall submit the insurance policy of workmen prior to commencement of work.(iii) The site of work shall be barricaded with sign boards during working hours. (iv) Necessary supervision shall be engaged to see that no by passers shall be injured due to ongoing works. |
| 21 | (v) All the materials shall be stacked in such a way so that it does not hinder any movement of staff or vehicles. (vi) All the works shall be done by using approved materials and as per manufacturer’s specifications and as per directions of Engineer in charge. (vii) Signing the Agreement for commencement of work by the accepted bidder shall imply that the contractor/agency has indemnified BSNL from any untoward incident that may occur during execution of the work. (viii) Before commencement of the work prior notice should be given to the Engineer-In-Charge and building - in - charge of Telephone Bhavan, Saifabad. |
