tender for lowering of stop log gates of old bay and additional new bay for annual closing of main ranbir canal along with allied works at mrc head, akhnoor , extraction of stop log gates of old bay of size 2.3 m x 2.0 m - 05 nos. & 2.3 m x 4.0 m - 05 nos. from the respective suspension hangers of each bay by way of lifting of gates from its two ends with the help of electrically/mechanically operated hoist by means of operating eot at head works powered by dg set installed at site and shifting of gates from places of stacking to lowering position with help of manual labour and eot. lowering of stop log gates of old bay in grooves by skilled work force through operation of mechanical/electrical hoist mechanism. job involves lowering by proper alignment so that the gates (02 nos. each bay) are not tilted, no damages occur to side seals & each leaf is to be hoisted on each other precisely to arrest leakages. safety belts/full body harness, along with fiber ropes anchored with suitable safety mechanism on ground to be used to hold the worker/arrest free fall of worker in case of any unfortunate incident during lowering of gates. the worker should wear a personal floating device which may consist of a vest, jacket or full length suit. the floating device should also include one or two under straps to be worn between the legs of the workers and also a headrest flap, to event slipping out of the vest. lowering of stop log gate of additional new bay of size 4.8 m x 5.0 m with the help of mechanically/electrically operated hoist mechanism by means of hiring of semi-skilled and skilled work force. job is to be carried out precisely so as to avoid any damages to side and bottom seals. job also includes repairs to electrical hoist system of additional new bay gate at main ranbir canal head works, akhnoor by way of dismantling of old worn out gear box from its installed position and then transportation of gear box from mrc head works to workshop. disassembling of gear box, clea
