tender for uplifting of regulatory gates of old bay no.1 of mrc head works akhnoor by way of removing silt using slurry pump along with allied works. , removing of silt/debris of old bay no.1 of main ranbir canal head works akhnoor deposited due to flash floods by using slurry pumping set. job involves shifting of the slurry pumpset to the site using mechanical transport. lowering of the slurry pumpset into the bay using hydraulic crane /manual labour. digging of a pit of approx. 7ft depth and 3ft width inside the bay for creating slurry using manual labour and placement of pump thereof. holding of the pumpset using steel ropes inside the bay and operation of the pump using skilled manual labour at site. job also involves removing accumulated sediments/sand using high-pressure water jets with high pressure pump to loosen compacted material and then disposing it into the river chenab. providing/fitting of 25m submersible copper cable 16mm2 from dg set upto pumpset inside the bay. the operation of the pumpset to be done using departmental dg set installed at site and the pol to be provided by the contractor/firm for 5days (8hrs daily@20 litres) which may increase or decrease as per site conditions. the manual labour to be employed @ 5 persons for 5 days for manual digging of pits wherever required and moving of the pumpset inside the bay for proper clearing of the debris. during execution of the works in the bay, safety belts/full body harness, along with fibre ropes anchored with suitable safety mechanism on ground to be used to hold the worker/arrest free fall in case of any unfortunate incident during desilting process. the worker should wear a personal floating device which may consist of a vest, jacket or full length suit. the floating device should also include one or two under-straps to be worn between the legs of the workers and also a headrest flap, to prevent slipping out of the vest. extraction of the slurry pumpset from the bay using hydraulic crane / manu
