tender for maintenance to certain roads in kanjoli line area at bharatpur mil station.; 1 scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surface in area n exc 400 sqm & depth exc 50mm & n exc 100 mm deep complete all as specified and directed. 2 preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and directed. 3 providing and laying bituminous concrete with 30 mm thick of 100-120 tph batch type hot mix plant producing an avarage output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder vg-30 @ 5.5 percent of mix and filler cement @ 2 % by weight of total mix, transoprting the hot mix to work site laying with a mechanical paver finisher to the required grade level and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compactions and applying evenly a priming tack coat of paving bitumen vg-10 @ 5 kg per 10 sqm complete all as specified and directed.note : (i) filler for bituminous concrete shall be cement @ 2% of total mix.(ii) contractor shall quote his rate on the basis of binder as mentioned in this item. if there is any variation in the actual binder content used as per mix approved by ge the rate shall be adjusted @ rs. 53.00 per kg of binder used. however no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out ot more than as specified in said items. (iii) work shall be executed as per design mix approved by ge. 4 m&l for premix bituminous, macadam using with paving bitumen vg-30 grade of any penetration of consolidated thickness 75mm or less with 4% binder content by weight of total mix, laid & rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. 5 s & f in repair road studs/ cat eyes two way reflective panel amber or red. plastic body size 100 x 100x 20 mm to give the maximum reflection which enhnaces the visibility of the vehicles during dark and bad light condition completea all as specifiedand directed. 6 m & l for cleaning and preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to bs 3262-1989 with special applicator machine in a layer of crystalex, using 5 kg material per sqm by incorporating the white glass beads for reflectivity in 100mm width all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
