repair to pu joint filling works of rigid pavements in tech area at af stn adampur; 1 m&l for formingexiting rigid pavements joints of following descriptions (serial item 1.01 to 1.03 here-in-after), comprising the under mentioned operations: - (i)raking out existing joints to the depth menioned below and removing existing unservicable polyurethane joint sealent/sealing compound of any description alongwih polyethylene foam backup rod and cleaning/preparing the joints/groove surface, complete all as specified and directed.(ii) insert a bond breaker tape and bond beaker closed cell polyethylene frame rod of width indicated in ps clause 20.1.4, caulked tightly into the base of the sealing groove to prevent the sealant from adhering to the base of slot complete all as specified and directed. (iii) sealed flush the joint to a level of 2-3 mm below the top of the adjacent pavement using polyurethene joint sealent (minimum depth 12 mm) after priming the vertical surface twice complete all as specified and directed. 2 expansion joints, 23-27 mm wide joints, racked upto 42-45 mm depth complete all as as specified and directed. 3 contraction (dummy) joints 8-12 mm wide joints racked upto 22-27 mm depth, complete all as specified and directed. 4 construction joints 18-22 mm wide joints racked upto 35-40 mm depth, complete all as specified and directed. 5 m&l for repair/ replacement of (existing) concrete pavement, comprising the followingcomplete all as specified and directed. : - (i) cutting the damaged, spoiled edges in concrete pavements slabs to rectangular cross section with diamond tip cuttersand removal of all debris and foreign material to a location as mentioned in schedule a note 5(d) and cleaning the surfaces intialy with wire/coir brushes and thereafter with compressed air by using compressor to the entire satisfaction of engineer-in-charge.(ii) priming the surface with dencote primer 601 and fillingthe surface with epoxy resin denpatch as per manufacturer instruction. 6 notes to ser no 1 and 2 :-(a) contractor has to get sample approval within 07 days from issue of work order and has to deposit 100% material in department store within 30 days from approval of samples by accepting officer. payment will be released after execution of work at site and no material lying at site will be paid to the contractor on this account.(b) material will be issued to contractor by the concerned je as per day to day site requirement at the time of execution of work.
