repair to joint filling and cracks in rigid pavement with elastomeric concrete including connected items at af stn bhuj; 1 material & labour fo cleaning and racking out the existing expansion joints 25mm to 35mm wide and upto required depth by appropriate hand tool ( chisel and hammer or l hook ) including removing the existing sealing compound from the edges with knife or anyother means such as chisel and hammer and grinding tool without damaging the edges and sides of the joints and removing the loose particle using wire brush and hot compressed air and priming the side of joints as per manufactures instruction, provision of 30 to 35mm thick olyethylene back up rod or appropriate de-bonding strip at bottom of joints and sealing the joints with 15mm ( minimum depth of sealant ) pitch free grey polyurethane sealant confirming to bs-5212 type fb and applying masking tape on edges or joints to prevent accidental spillage on top of surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant applied, the sealant should have maf ( + / - ) 30 and manufacturers warranty of 10 years as user in international air port in india complete all as specified and as directed by the engr-in-charge. 4 material & labour for repairing pot holes / patches / cracks etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes / cracks with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 15 to 20 mm deep, removing the lose material cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc and dispose to a distance exc 250 m but n exc 500 m and priming the pot holes / patches / cracks with primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with elastomeric concrete complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge. 5 material & labour for cutting existingloose patches / spalled edges of concrete pavement in geometrical shape to average depth 20 to 25 mm using diamond cutter or chisel and any other means and removing debris out side md land sweeping the patches with broom cleaning with compressed air and applying epoxy resin primer @ 0.45 kg / sqm, filted with epoxy resin mortar proportion as per manufacture instruction including necessary form work and masking tape for sides of joints sprinkle thin layer of dust free fine sand ( quartz sand 10 no ) and applying a coat on top of surface with epoxy resin primer @ 0.45 kg / sqm and filling the joints with sealing compoundcomplete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge.note:- sealing to joint shall be measured under respective item seperately 6 material & labour for cutting grass manually and removing materials obtained from cutting / cleaning both sides of runway, ptt near dtgm board, links, cleaning of taxi track and other airfield area as per user requirement etc. complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge.note:- contractor will arrange his own minimum 04 nos. of labour form 09:00 am to 05:00 pm ( including lunch break of half an hour at mid day ) every day and as well as reuquired.however department will have the right to stop the work at any time due to security point of view.
