bids are invited for custom bid for services - tank painting at bpcl ec professional painting service a. supply of all paint / coating materials, abrasives, equipment, machinery, manpower, tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc. required for executing the painting job. b. providing temporary covered yards / sheds for blast cleaning, shop application, storage of paint / coating materials, etc. c. surface preparation and painting / coating of surfaces as per the specified scheme on above ground and underground storage tanks (internal, external and buried surfaces), above ground and underground pipelines, structural steel as per the schedule of rates. d. carrying out necessary quality checks as per qap including measurements of coating thickness, documentation etc. e. rectification of painting / coating defects observed during inspection / quality checks per the approved procedure / practices. rectifications shall be accepted after inspection by bpcl site in charge. e. identification colour bands, logo, markings, identification lettering/ numbering on tanks, piping or any other painted surface as required. f. the contractor shall be fully responsible for carrying out all the necessary painting, coating and lining on external and internal surfaces as per the contract requirement. g. the contractor shall be fully responsible for adhering to the quality, chemical and physical properties of paint materials used as per this specification. contractor shall deploy skilled manpower for painting and the application shall be done as per the recommended procedures of paint manufacturer. h. contractor who is awarded any job for bpcl, projects under this standard must have necessary equipment, machinery, tools and tackles for surface preparation, paint application and inspection. the contractor must have qualified, trained and experienced surface preparator, paint applicator, inspector and supervisors. the contractor supervisor, inspector, surface preparator and paint applicator must be conversant with the standards referred in this specification. i. after completion of painting works as per the scope in each working area, vendor shall arrange to clear the site by removal of all debris and unwanted material from the location and obtain site clearance certificate from engineer incharge. final billing shall be cleared after clearing of the work places duly accepted by eic. j. vendor must depute a minimum of one site engineer, one qc supervisor and one safety officer at all times during the execution of the job. k. if the vendor is engaging more than 19 persons under his contract, labour license is to be produced before start of the work. all the contract workmen who will be working in the plant under the vendor should be enrolled in a medical insurance policy not less than 10 lakhs irrespective of the number of workers under the vendor. 1. painting scheme for tank painting: total quantity :
