bids are invited for custom bid for services - 3 selection of laboratories for testing of products/material provision of bal otm accn of hq 2 corps at ambala cantt (a) mobilization of necessary eqpt and man power to the project site and dismantling of the same pf completion of field work from the site (b) provn of two bore holes of 150mm dia in any type of soil up to max 10m or upto refusal (n=100) whichever meet first conducting dynamic cone penetration test (dcpt) as per is 4968 (part 2) 1976 or standard penetration test (spt) as per is 2131-1981 (reaffirmed 2016). test shall be made at mpore than 1.5m interval or on change of strata whichever is less (c) provn of two bare holes of 150mm dia in any type of soil up to max 10m or upto refusal (n=100) whichever meet first conducting dynamic cone penetration test (dcpt) as per is 4968 (part 2) 1976 or standard penetration test (spt) as per is 2131-1981 (reaffirmed 2016). test shall be made at mpore than 1.5m interval or on change of strata whichever is less (d) conducting following lab test on bore collected soil sample (1) direct/triaxial shear test (ii) grain distribution curves & pattern in bore holes (iii) bulk density (iv) natural mositure content (v) dry density (vi) water table (vii) specific gravity (ix) atterberg limit (x) hydrometer analysis (x) liquid & plastic limit (xii) swelling index (e) collection of lab test data, calculation of gross and net bearing capacity and preparation of report on min 80gsm a4 white paper duly sprial bound in quintuplet duly vetted by any iit/nit (veting shall not be in the personal capacity of the professor) for foundation (report shall recommand type of foundation (report shall recommand type of foundation and sizes) at different depths below ngl including size gross and net safe bearing capacity. following shall also be ensured: (i) photographic record of geo-explorarion as well as testing shall be part of the report. (ii) recommendation as regards possibility of liquefaction of soil incase of saturated or partially saturated losse/uncompacted sandy soil. (iii) swelling index and swelling pressure in respect of black cotton soil and its depth/layer (if any) (iv) depth of gr water table (gwt) in peak mansoon (lowest) and peak summer (highest) after correction of result with seasonal of water table in the station.
