soil investigation in r/o construction of vocational labs of kvs at af stn mohanbari , the following works are to be carried out for soil testing for construction of vocational lab and art room of kvs at af stn mohanbari (a) boring through sand/clay/silt stratafrom ground level to 10.00 mtrs of 150 mm dia bore (b) carrying out standard penetration test in bore holes as per is : 2131. (c) collection disturbed samples at every 0.5 mtr or change of strata including packing and handling all complete. (d) collection undisturbed soil samples at 1.0 mtr or change of strata including packing and handling all complete as pe is : 2132-1985 (e) carrying out laboratory test for :- (i)grain size analysis (ii) specify gravity (iii) bulk and dry density (iv) natural moisture content (v)liquid, plastic limit and swelling index (vi) shear strenght parameters. (vii)chemical test for solubale chlorides and sulphate content. (viii)consolidation test parameters. (ix) atterberg limit. (f) the report to include clearly the following parameters :- (i) layout out of trial pits and bore holes on proposed. (ii) recording of boring as per appx d of is 1892 (iii) soil/rock properties as per detailed exploration (table 3 of is 1892) (iv) soil properties. (v)estimation of safe bearing pressure based on safe bearing capacity as per shear criteria and settlement criteria for rectangular foundations of width of 1.5/2, 0/2.5m in general. the report shall include details calculations of sbc. in case of low bearing capacity recommendation may include bearingcapacity calculation sbc & settlement calculation for that foundation also. (vi)recommendation of sbc and type of foundation. (vii)recommendation of pile with pile capacity in case weaker strata is encountered. (viii) other relevant recommendations for foundation and improvement of soil if necessary. (ix)recommendation of existing soil for backfill purpose. (g)six set of binded hard copy alongwith photographic record of site work and 02 set of soft copy with calculation shall be submitted with report. (h)during scrutiny of report any clarification/amendment required in the report will be carried out without any extra charge. , preparation of structural design of construction of vocational lab and art room of kvs at afs mohanbari :- (i) lab building = 11.06 & 9.56 mtr= 105.73 sqm , material and labour laying well burnt old sizebricks, straight or curved on plan , laid flat with width equal to length of brick , laid dry over electric cable for protection all as specified. => limited
