replacement of spare rotary element including fitting, fixing of newly supplied wearing ring, gland eye bolt etc. with other allied works for pump unit no. 2 at mullick ghat pumping station , arrangementfor opening the priming lines over the top volute casing of raw water pumping unit , de-coupling of h.t motor from pump, removal of horizental / vertical split top volute after dismantling the nuts & bolts, removal of shaft-impeler assembly from the bottom volute of the pumpalong with impeller rings, logging rings and casing rings with utmost care by using departmental overhead crane to keep at the working floor complete as per direction of eic . ( mode of measurement- weight of the top volute & rotating assembly ) , dismantling the bush bearing, jam nut, lock washer, thrust bearing from both end of the pump ( de & nde ) including the coupling and gland etc. with proper marking. ( mode of measurement- weight of the top part of the bearing housing and bush bearing ) , making arrangement for continuous source inside the suction line of the pump during low tide condition of the river hooghly to avoid formation of air pocket and no trouble to the other running part , fitting & fixing the complete rotating assembly on the pump bottom volute along with impeller rings, logging rings and casing rings with utmost care and positioning the top volute with necessary hydraulic paper bolted up, making coupling of the h.t. pump with the drive motor by inserting the coupling pins etc and complete in all respect as per direction of eic. ( mode of measurement - weight of the top volute & rotating assembly ) , cleaning of the bearing housing & fitting fixing of the oil rings by providing maching screws & pins etc. and pouring of the new lubricating oil ( supplied departmentally ) and complete in all respect as per direction of e.i.c. , fitting and fixing of bush bearings, jam nut, lock washer thurst bearings of both ends of the pump & motor coupling gland etc. with proper alignment and to check for free rotation of rotary element. ( mode of measurement- weight of the top bearing housing & bush bearing ) , fitting and fixing of the priming lines over the top volute casing of raw water pumping unit , commissioning the h.t. pump with the drive motor with sequential process with proper care & caution & do needful observation for trial run to achieve the satisfactory operation of the pump & complete in all respect as per direction of eic. , removal of half coupling using the hydraulic puller & fixtures etc very cautiously from the shaft and complete in all respect as per direction of eic. , fitting & fixing of the half coupling by hydraulic jack & specilized fixtures etc. & complete in all respect as per direction of eic.
