cn analyzer cn analyzer , cn – elemental analyzer , pc controlled elemental analyzer with all essential accessories for the quantitative analysis of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulfur in solid and liquid samples (example- soil, plants and biomass, organic manure etc.) based on flash combustion technique followed by gas chromatographic/ temperature programmed desorption (tpd) column separation and thermal conductivity detection through tcd or i`r cells. furnace: single or dual furnace with automatic temperature control up to 1200°c. or more. separation system: • combustion gases in the form co2, h2o, n2 and so2 are separated by means of onetemperature programmed desorption (tpd) column. baseline separation of c from n peak signal even with a concentration ratio of 12000:1 or better detector: thermal conductivity detector or infra red or both measuring range: 0 to 100% for all elements (c, h, n, s) with the capability of measuring at least 12 mg absolute carbon in chns mode and more than 40 mg in cn mode. precision: <0.1 % or better with certified standards accuracy: <0.1 % or better with certified standards system should have some important features such as: • feature to use automatic oxygen dosage system for better combustion of any sample and no oxygen and consumables waste. • automatic leak test. • standby mode for gas, energy and time savings when instrument is not under operation. carrier gas: must have the facility to use helium as carrier gas analysis time: chn – less than 8 minutes, chns – less than 10 minutes and cn – less than 5 minutes or better. maximum sample mass: 0.2 mg to 1000 mg or more. configurations: several configurations such as chns, chn and cn should be available for the determination of the target elements. integrated autosampler: • integrated 100 or more position electronic autosampler with he-purged blank-free ball valve sample injection into the combustion furnace. • pneumatic autosampler will not be accepted semi-micro balance: elemental analyzer should be equipped with a semi-micro balance (reputed brand) of sensitivity up to 5 places i.e. 0.01 mg or more. chns elemental analyzer must be quoted with: • chns analysis kit for 1000 analysis including consumables/reagents. • one year of standard warranty. necessary documents: - • catalogue in original. • all technical specifications should be printed on the manufacturers catalogue/ data sheet. • please include the list of minimum 10 users where the instrument is being used for similar application in india
