maintenance and painting of stringer plain bb , stringer plain ( ewbb ) and cross girder , maint and painting of stringer plain ( bb ) , stringer plain ( ewbb ) and cross grider , stringer plain ( bb ) , stringer plain ( ewbb ) , cross girder ( 250x80mm ) , note;- ( i ) the above work involves taking out from existing stack and remove them to a distance out in a open area and lay them on a pre-cleaned ground on dunnage cubes . ( ii ) remove dust , dirt and disused and deteriorated layer of old paint throughly from the surface using course wire brush and specially designed chisels . the surface shall then be throughly cleaned with water and rubbed with abrasive paper . special care shall be taken for removing dust , dirt and rust scale from re-entrant angles , corners joints and hidden portion . apply one coat of red oxide metal primer / wood primer ( make / asian / berger ) and allow drying for 48 hours . apply two coats of paint og ( make: shalimar / asian / berger ) over primer coat and allow drying for 48 hours . ( iii ) the above preserved store will be shifted from open area to storage shed on proper dunnage using concrete cubes and anti termite steel tray that shall be issued by the department for dunaging in accountable position as per direction of engineer-in-charge . ( iv ) numbering will be done of size 2 letter with white enamel paint as per direction of engr-in-charge .
