4381 Jay Iron & Steel is planning to take up expansion of 60,000 TPA Sponge Iron Plant into 0.5 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Village Balanda, Tehsil Kalunga, District Sundargarh in Odisha. Iron ore required for the plant will be sourced from the mines of Barbil/Koida region. Raw materials for other units i.e. pellet, washed coal, ferro alloys, sponge iron, pig iron and sinter will be sourced from captive units within the plant. Dolomite will be sourced from mines of Sundargarh District.Manganese ore will be sourced from Joda, Coke will be either imported or will be sourced from Tangi/Jagatpur/Kalinganagr-Duburi area. 4379 Shristi Hotels, an arm of Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation is setting up a 5 star hotel at Rajarhat in Rajasthan. The five-star hotel will be spread over an eight acre plot in the satellite township of Rajarhat with 323 rooms spread over two towers. As of December 2012, the company has already tied up with Westin Hotels and Resorts for a 15-year management contract for the hotel which will be run under the Westin brand. 4376 Cochin Shipyard is planning to set up an international ship repair facility at Willingdon Island. The project involves putting up a modern ship-lift system in the island owned by Cochin Port Trust. The facility will be used for the repairs of small ships up to 130 mtrs in size so that the existing ship repair facility in the yard can be dedicated to value added repairs of larger ships. As of December 2012, Cochin Shipyard (CSL) and the Cochin Port Trust signed a contract for setting up the facility by the yard in the port area. Products & capacity : 130 mtrs

4375 Odisha Thermal Power Corporation, a 50:50 joint venture between Odisha Mining Corporation and Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) is setting up a 2,400 MW coal-fired power plant in the state. As of December 2012, the company has approached NTPC to provide technical consultancy for the project. In which case, NTPC will provide assistance n preparation of detailed project report (DPR), designing the plant specifications, developing tender documents, conducting bid for selection of equipment supplier and EPC (engineering procurement & construction) contractor, providing quality assurance support during the construction phase, commissioning of the project and post commissioning supervision for one year. 4374 Mahanadi Coalfields is planning to set up a 1,000 mega watt solar power plant between Jharsuguda and Sambalpur in Orissa. There is a plan for vertically integrated solar value chain right from silicon manufacturing from quartz to solar modules and a power plant. Using its mining expertise, the company will produce silicon, basic raw material required for solar cell. MCL plans to produce 6,000 metric tonne of silicon that will be sufficient for the installation of a 1,000 mega watt solar power plant. 4373 IISCO, a unit of SAIL has reported progress on its 2.5-million tonne per annum integrated steel plant at Burnpur near Asansol in West Bengal. As of December 2012, the company has commissioned a 3.8 million tonnes capacity Sinter plant which is a part of the green field project. The sinter plant is expected to supply up to 80 per cent of the total iron bearing capacity of the blast furnace at the integrated steel plant. 4371 J K Tyres and Industries is planning yo expand its tyres capacity in its mysore plant. Earlier, the company had proposed to increase the capacity to 800,000 tyres per annum from 367,000 tyres at an estimated cost of Rs.3150 million. Subsequently, the company revised its expansion programme to a capacity of 1.06 million tyres at an additional Rs 1560 million investment and submitted a fresh proposal to the state high-level clearance committee to consider it as a single expansion programme. Aluminium alloy ingots and aluminium extrusions shall be manufactured by oil fired reverberatory furnace for melting of the aluminium scrap and silicon powder, fluxes & other alloying material and casting in CI moulds.
