Site Tests : Following tests shall be carried out on each transformer at site by OEM engineer in presence of department's site engineer:- a) Ratio test on each tapping.b) Resistance of windings at principal and all tapings.c) Insulation resistance of the winding between HV to earth / HV to LV / LV to earth.d) Vector group test.e) Magnetic Balance test. Transformer shall be tested from CTL of discom before charging of transformer & complete installaion must be certified from Electrical Inspectorate office as per Indian Electricity rule, (CTL testing charges and Electrical Inspection charges shall be reimbursed by the department to the contractor) |
| 2 | Note :Manufacturer's testing laboratory should be certified by NABL and have an in house core cutting facility to ensure proper control & monitoring of quality. This is crutial to prevent the mixing of prime core materials with Second grade or defective materials. The core should be constructed from high grade, non ageing, PRIME GRADE CRGO steel with M4 Grade or Better, using silicon steel laminations, and should be of boltless design. The core and coil assembly should be undergo drying process using a highly efficient vacuum drying autoclave to remove moisture through heating and drying. |
