| 26 | Material and labour for applying bond coat of epoxy bonding agent & cement mortor in 1:1 ratio for bonding old and new concrete on damaged surfaces applying ready mix polymer modified mortar upto 60mm thickness (Chajjas fins, border,slab, beams etc) :-(i) Including application of rust remover on exposed reinforcement and subsequent application of anticorrosive coating. Also, pressure grouting with epoxy injection after application of polymer modified mortar.(ii) Use of electrical mixer to get the homogeneous dough on bond coat surfaces. (iii) To achieve required thickness repeat this step after 24 hrs as required.(iv) Keep the surfaces moist using water forg for 5 to 7 days etc complete all as specified and as directed.(v) Rate shall be inclusive of all necessary scaffolding for building height up to 24 meters complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Make of Chemicals : - Epoxy bonding agent, Rust remover, Anti corrosive coating, Polymer modified mortar, Epoxy grout shall be of Berger, Krishna, Dr Fixit, MC Bauchemie and M/s Cemistik, Sika or Equivalent as approved by GE. |
| 27 | Notes for item No 25 & 26 (i) The complete treatment shall be executed only through the approved applicator of the manufacturer.The applicator shall be approved by the GE before commencement of work. The contractor shall submitt documentary proof of authorisation from the manufacturer prior to execution.(ii) Before commencement of work,the contractor shall submitt a Manufacturer's Authorization Certificate (MAC), Method Statement , and Warrenty certificate duly signed by both the manufacturer and contractor. The manufacturer shall certify the specified compressive, flexural and bond strength parameters of the repair system, and test reports confirimng achievement of the specified strenghts after completion of work shall be submitted to GE.(iii) A joint warrenty for a period of 07 (seven) years from certified date of completion shall be furnished by the contractor and manufacturer for the complete repair treatment against failure, debonding, cracking, leakage , corrosion or deterioration attributable to defective materials or workmanship.(iv) Hard drawn steel wire fabric will be measured and paid seperately |
| 28 | Note for Item No 1 to 8 (Methodology)The work for smart periodical services shall include the following and the rates quoted by the bidders shall include for the same :- 1. All painting, putty, primer, texture coating and waterproofing works shall be executed strictly in accordance with the latest printed technical specifications, application manuals, method statements,LEED and recommendations of the respective manufacturer and as approved by the GE.2. The complete coating system shall be executed only through the manufacturer's authorized applicator/agency duly trained and certified by the respective manufacturer.3. The bidder shall mandatorily upload, along with the Technical Bid, a valid and work-specific Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the bidder and directly by the paint manufacturer whose products are proposed to be used in the work. The MoU shall clearly confirm that the specified works shall be executed through the manufacturer's duly trained and authorized applicator using only genuine and original materials supplied/approved by the manufacturer and shall provide technical support, quality monitoring and warranty backing for the complete coating system. The MoU shall clearly indicate the name of the work , name of the bidder, name of the authorized applicator, product system proposed for use and commitment of technical support by the manufacturer. |
| 29 | 4. Any bid submitted without the above MoU shall be treated as technically non-bonafide and shall be rejected during technical evaluation without further consideration.5. The MoU shall be issued by the Manufacturer's Regional Office, State Office, Corporate Office or any officer specifically authorized by the Manufacturer for such purpose.6. The MoU between the bidder and the manufacturer, submitted with the tender shall be freshly issued and shall not be more than 30 days old on bid start date of tender on stamp paper of Rs 100.00. The MoU shall remain valid throughout the execution period and up to physical date of completion of work and during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) as per terms and conditions of the contract. 7. Surface preparation shall be carried out using suitable mechanical sanding equipment with integrated dust extraction system capable of producing a clean, sound and dust-free substrate suitable for application of the specified coating system.8. Proper masking and protection of doors, windows, glazing, fittings, fixtures, floors, furniture, equipment and adjoining finished surfaces shall be carried out before commencement of painting works. Any damage shall be made good by the contractor at his own cost.9. All equipment proposed for the work, including spray machines, sanding machines, mixers and allied accessories, shall be approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before deployment at site. |
| 30 | 10. Rates quoted shall include all scaffolding upto 21.00 m , staging, ladders, access arrangements, masking materials, protection measures, consumables, cleaning and disposal of debris, and no extra payment shall be admissible on these accounts.11. Primer, putty, distemper / extererior emulsion /plastic emlusion shall be of same manufacturer.12. GE shall approve stages building wisein stage passing register for each stage before commencement of subsequent stage viz preparation of surface by complete removal, each coat of putty separately ( first coat followed by application of the second coat or additional coat(s) as required to achieve a total average finished thickness of 2.0 mm), primer, under coat and finishing coat of interior & exterior emulsion paint (first coat and second coat) separately.13. The bidders shall apply the minimum number of coats mentioned in the respective items of Schedule 'A' / BoQ to the satisfaction of GE. In case GE is not satisfied with exetrnal finish, shade, texture, colour, uniformity, workmanship, etc of painting, then the contractor shall have to apply one or more additional coats without any extra cost to the Department. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained on this account. |
| 31 | 14. The contractor shall, at his own cost, obtain and maintain valid Insurance Policies covering all workers, painters, supervisors, applicators and other personnel engaged for execution of work. The insurance shall adequately cover risks arising out of accidental death, bodily injury, permanent/ partial disability, occupational hazards, third-party liability and any other statutory requirements under applicable labour laws. The contractor shall be solely responsible for payment of compensation, medical expenses, claims, damages, penalties or legal liabilities arising out of any accident, injury or death of his emplyees/workers during the execution of contract. The department shall bear no responsbility whatsoever in this regard. Copies of valid insurance policies shall be submitted to the GE before commencement of work and shall remain valif througout the contract period 15. Upon completion of the work, all paint splashes, masking materials, debris, waste containers and temporary protections shall be removed and the site shall be handed over in neat and clean condition.
