| 36 | M & L Water proofing treatment on RCC roof etc. comprising with the following operation and as specified herein below and directed:- (a) Taking down existing old tarfelt, bituminous compound including cleaning & removing debris to a distance exc 100m & n.exc.250m. (b) M&L For 20-25 mm thick plastering in cement mortar 1:4 finished even & smooth. (c) M&L For 10-15 mm thick screed bed in 1:6 finished even and smooth. (d) Preparing & cleaning of fully dried cement plastered surface. (e) Applying one coat of cold bituminous primer to the plastered surface @ 0.25 liters per sqm conforming IS-3384 (f) A layer of APP based polymeric membrane membrane 3mm thick (minimum) weighing 3.5 kg per sqm reinforced with polyster non woven fabric (weighing not less than 160 gms/sqm )shall be applied over bituminous primer as specified above. Application of polymeric membrane shall be by torch application. The over lap shall be minimum 100 mm on transverse direction and 75 mm in longitudinal direction. (g) One coat of aluminium paint over the APP based membrane @ 0.11 Kg/Sqm Note:- Prior to execution of the APP Membrane works, leak proof test shall be done by ponding water on roof slab to minimum depth of 25 mm. The entire roof slab shall be flooded with water for 48 hours. The necessary barrier shall be made to make feasible to stagnate water for 48 hours on roof slab. |
