The earth plate shall be buried directly in ground with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.50 m below normal ground level, connected to GI earth wire or GI / copper earth strip any size by means of nut-bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of MES schedule 2009, Part–I (Specifications) and other end connected to main switch board / main DB’s / earthing test point testing of earthing on completion of job complete all as specified and directed.Note (i) Necessary eath work will be measured and paid seperately.(ii) Material like, salt charcoal, protection pipe, funnel and earth plate will be measured and paid seperately(iii) Copper/GIearth plate shall be measured and paid seperately. |

It shall be free from bentonite and other hazardous substances. It shall be a permanent, non-corrosive material and will not leach any chemicals into the ground. It shall retain moisture even in high soil resistivity areas. complete all as specified and as directed.Note: Measurement of Chemical will be done in Powder form. |

| 26 | M&L for Checking of Earth Resistance test of existing Galvanised iron/copper conventional/Chemical Earthing for getting suitable resistant test complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.Note :- (a) Contractor will Check Earth Resistance of test points and will be recorded in Register, same will be put up to the Engineer-in-Charge through concern JE E/M. (b) Necessary T&P will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from NABL accredited labs). (c) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at his own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (d) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering, adding of chemical etc. (Chemical will be measured and paid separately) (e) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth Check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. (f) Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes, grass, sand etc inside and all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip. (g) Cost of register for noting earthing results, location wise shall deemed to be included with the unit rate. Proforma of detail column will be printed as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (j) The contractor is responsible for mainting the value of chemical earthing as per station norms as directred by Engr-in-Charge. (k) Grid if any nos of earth pits having one test point shall be considered as one point for measurement. |
