| 1 | Excavation in foundation and trenches for (Pipes & Pits) upto all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work,jumper work,saturated soil including bailing or pumping out water,blasting soft/hard rock or chiselling soft\hard rock where blasting work is prohibited in all lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, levelling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting, planking timbering and dewatering wherever required, stacking the usable and unusable material/soil separately and after laying and jointing and testing of pipes, returning the useable soil in trenches upto 15 centimetre (fifteen centimetre) layer including consolidating of each deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil/unusable material as directed within all leads and lifts including restoration of unmetalled surface to its original condition and including cost of diversion for traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respect within all leads and lifts as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. |
| 2 | Laying, jointing and testing in trenches (to level or grade) of GMS pipes (bevelled edge flanged/butt welded pipes having mild steel flanges @ 6% of total length and butt welded 94% of below mentioned diameter confroming to IS:1239-2001 (latest upto date amendments) as specified, suitable to withstand requird hydraulic test pressure including fixing of required number of bends of all degree & tee etc. complete in all respects. The bends shall have fabricated with parent tube having two cut three piece and radius not less than five time the dia of pipe. The damaged portion of the pipe (if damaged during laying & jointing operation) and all otheer specials made from parent tube shall be treated with anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive zinc oxide paint. The laying of pipes shall conform to IS:5822-1994 as well as CPHEEO manual and will include all operations such as jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including entire carriage of materials in all leads and lifts. (Earth work in trenches, supply of flanges will be measured and paid for separately). |

| 5 | Providing and fixing mild steel flanges (in pairs) for the joints of galvanized iron pipes mentioned as below and same shall conform to BIS 6392-1971 (latest with upto date ammendments) including the cost of nuts and bolts of required sizes, 3 milimetre thick compressed asbestos fiber/synthetic rubber gaskets conforming to relevant BIS standards and it shall also include carriage of materials within all leads and lifts complete in all respect to the best satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge. (the cost of laying, jointing and welding shall be paid in laying of pipe work for flanged joint) within all leads and lifts as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. |
