| 2 | Hydrostatic testing of fire extinguishers shall be carried out. The scope includes collection, safe transportation, complete discharge of the extinguisher, dismantling, internal inspection, hydrostatic pressure testing using calibrated equipment, drying, reassembly, and affixing of test certificate/tag indicating date of testing and next due date.Any cylinder found defective, leaking, or failing the pressure test shall be rejected and replaced only after approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. All tools, equipment, and safety precautions shall be the responsibility of the contractor. |
| 3 | Annual Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers for the period of three (3) years : |
| 4 | Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for the existing fire extinguishers installed at CSIR-IICB, Jadavpr and Salt Lake campus for the period of three (3) years. The work shall include periodic inspection, checking of pressure, seals, hoses, nozzles, safety pins, and overall condition of the extinguishers.The contractor shall carry out quarterly inspections and maintain proper service records/logbooks. Minor repairs, replacement of defective parts (excluding cylinder replacement), lubrication, and ensuring readiness of extinguishers at all times are included in the scope. Breakdown/emergency calls shall be attended as and when required basis.All servicing shall be carried out by trained personnel, and service tags/stickers indicating the date of service and next due date shall be affixed on each extinguisher. |
| 5 | Refilling of Fire Extinguishers (ABC powder, CO₂, Dry Powder, Water, Foam, Clean Agent etc.) [Existing 392 nos FE and additional 53 nos FE as & when require basis)]The scope includes collection, safe transportation, complete discharge, cleaning, refilling with specified quantity and type of extinguishing media, pressurization, leakage testing, and reinstallation at site. New safety seals and discharge hoses (if required) shall be provided.Each refilled extinguisher shall be properly labelled with details of refilling date, next due date, and agency name. Test certificates shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 6 | Refilling of ABC type (MAP 50% concentration (Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP)), powder-based fire extinguishers, including complete discharge of existing contents, internal cleaning, and removal of old chemical/powder.The work shall include thorough inspection/health check-up of the cylinder, valve, hose, and other components, and Refilling shall be done with approved quality MAP 50% ABC dry chemical powder conforming to relevant BIS standards.The item also includes supply of all necessary materials, accessories, nitrogen gas pressurization, sealing, and fixing of discharge hose (if required), complete in all respects. Proper service tags indicating date of refilling and next due date shall be affixed.The warranty of the refilled chemical/powder shall be for a minimum period of 03 (three) years from the date of refilling. |

| 38 | Training Programme (As and When required basis) : Conducting Evacuation Training and Mock Drill and Fire Safety Awareness Programme for staff/occupants at site, including identification of fire hazards, alarm systems, emergency response procedures, and safe evacuation methods.The programme shall include practical demonstration of evacuation routes, assembly points, and coordination during emergency situations. Mock evacuation drill shall be conducted as per site requirement.The contractor shall provide all necessary training materials ( except fire extinguishers), safety equipment, and services of trained fire safety professionals/instructors. The training shall be conducted at site as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Certificate of training/participation and report of mock drill shall be submitted after completion.
