| 13 | Water proofing with TPO membrane - providing and laying 1.5 mm thick TPO membrane over old terrace having week surface/lime mortar. The membrance is manufactured using hot-melt extrusion process for complete scrim encapsulation. It is reinforced with a strong, polyester reinforced fabric centre (scrim) and a tough thermoplastic polyolefin compounded top ply and the bottom. It should have UV resistant top white colour which has a very high resistance to weather agents and UV rays. TPO membrane shall be plasticizer, cholrine & pthalate fre and should exceed/meet specifications of ASTM D6878. Membrane should be mechanically fixed to the substrate by independent plate and fasteners. TPO roof membrane should be lapped and seamed using hot air heat welding equipment after mechanically fastening the overlaps. Membrane should have following minimum properties, breaking strenth min. 220obf (976N) as per ASTM D751, Elongatin break of reinforcement>15% as per ASTM D751 and Tear strength 551 bf (245N) as per ASTM D751. The finished cost including surface preparation, application of TPO membrane over the 200 GSM Geo-textile and termination of TPO membrane using 2mm thick aluminium strip sealing with PU sealant at the top of strip completely as per specification. |
