| 15 | M&L for preparing existing treated surfaces of ceilings including cornices and applying two coats of white wash by making the lime slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub-resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 16 | M&L for preparation of old decorated surfaces of ceiling by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scraping down, smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts trading oil and greasy spots and applying one coat of oil bound distemper complete all as specified and directed. |
