| 23 | Water proofing treatment to RCC roof slab including parapet as under :- (a) Ist Course : Apply a coat of bituminous primer conforming to IS-3384@ 0.40 Kg /Sqm on prepared surface of plaster and after drying of primer, apply a coat of hot blown 85/25 grade bitumen conforming to IS-702 @ 1.2 Kg/sqm on plastered surfaces. (b) 2nd Course : APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified polymeric membrane, 5 layered, 3 mm thick weight not less than 3.0 Kg/Sqm with 160 Grams/Sqm non woven polyester made at centre core reinforced laid with 75 mm side overlap and 150 mm end overlap, membrane has to be laid with LPG torch and overlap sealed and finished neat, all joints and changes in direction should be covered with cement mortar 1:3 mixed with SBR latex @200ml/bag of cement and curved before laying of membarance.(c) 3rd Course : Apply a coat of hot blown 85/25 grade bitumen conforming to IS-702 @ 1.2 Kg/sqm over membrance and dusted with dry sand @ 0.50 to 1 Kg/sqm. Note:-(i) The water proofing treatment shall be got carried out from the authorised personal of the Company all as specified and directed. |
