Concrete of roof surface shall be scratched with scratched tool before finishing roof surface when the concrete surface is still green,10mm thick 1:4 cement plaster shall be laid .The roof surfaces shall be throughly wire brushed, washed, dried up and cleaned to all foreign matter and dust prior to the appliction of primer. On the dried surface one coat of approved bituminous primer, having density in the range of 0.87 to 0.89 kg/litre at 25 degree centigrade and viscosity of 40 to 160 CPS, manufactured by same manufacturer @ 0.4 litre / sqm shall be applied. APP membrane shall be laid on primed surface by torch application method after allowing 24 hours for primer to dry . Laying off APP membrane will normally be laid in length at right angle to the direction of slope. The overlaps shall be of minimum 100mm on longitudinal direction and 150 mm on the transverse direction. All overlaps shall be bonded with bitumen primer and levelled by heating the overlaps with butane torch. the treatment shall be done by the approved authorised applicatiors. |
