| 1 | Comprehensive Maintenance Contract of Fire Protection & Alram System at DDMCH Keonjhar (For One Year) Inspection, Testing and Maintenance for Fire Protection System consist of Automatic Fire sprinkler, Hydrant valve, First aid Hose reel, Alarm gong bell, Double Door Hose box, Delivery Hose pipe (RRL), Male female coupling of RRL Hose, Fire brigade inlet, Brass ball valve, Air release valve, Butterfly valve, Branch pipe and nozzle, Down comer and raiser line. Hydraulic pressure testing and maintenance of all Fire Extinguishers. Welding and painting of Hydrant pipe line, Sprinkler pipe line, Raiser, Down comer, Drainage line, bypass line, Elbow, Reducer, Tee, Socket and flange. Flow rate testing of sprinkler head, hydrant valve, Hose reel and wet raiser. Draining water of sprinkler line, hydrant line, and raiser and maintain pressure in the fire pipe line as per requirement. SCOPE OF WORKS 1) Maintenance of Fire Protection System in the areas under this contract, the maintenance agency will be responsible to keep the system serviceable at all the time. The maintenance shall include servicing of all the equipments associated with the fire fighting systems and the cost of consumables items are covered in the AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract).2) The cost of overhauling of any equipment such as Fire Pump, Motor, Automation Panels, Fire Hydrants, Sprinklers, Hose Boxes, R&L Hose, Gate Valves, etc. covered under preventive & routine maintenance including servicing and rectification etc. will be in the scope of agency All material including diesel, oil for fire engine pump will be provided by the customer and rectification on free of cost.3) Agency will promptly alert Hospital in-charge as soon as occurrence of any major defect/ special repair/replacements in these systems, if noticed, so that agency can take advance action towards its rectification and procurement of any material and skilled labour arrangements required for the purpose.4) Agency will engage one trained and experienced skilled staff for undertaking maintenance services.5) Agency will maintain the logbook for maintenance as described below:a) After each maintenance, the test details will be entered in the maintenance register with dates and result achieved.b) After carrying out each test, the entry in the register shall be counter signed from the hospital in-charge. Without prior approval of site-in-charge, no fitting/material will be removed for repairs.6) Maintenance agency will conduct periodical fire drill at site as per direction of the in-charge including imparting training to the staff /security/maintenance personnel etc. for the use and operation of fire safety systems.7) The servicing & checking of the Fire protection Systems, Fire Extinguishing Systems, Equipments shall be done periodically and at each quarter.8) The mock drill/demonstration of the Fire Fighting Systems will be given to the employees/security personnel/maintenance staff once in 3 months with intimation to hospital in-charge.9) Maintenance agency shall arrange testing of fire pumps which include pressurization of pump sets in case of loss of pressure of hydrant system and activation of diesel engine pump in the absence of electricity. The pumps will be tested whether constant pressure is maintained by simulating pressure loss in the pipe lines. Pressure testing at various locations of hydrant systems will be carried out by opening the valve at one location and such test shall be carried out once in every quarter.10)The servicing of major equipments such as Fire Pumps & etc. shall be done in each quarter. However, all the Valves, Valve Handles, etc. shall be checked and greased if found necessary in every alternative month.11)Replacement of any valve, Motor Rewinding, Fire Extinguisher refilling or any major work will be on client scope.12)AMC shall not be covered for those items damaged either due to electrical short circuit, natural calamities, force majeure conditions or any other acts of GOD.
