Earthwork in rough excavation by mechanical means using tractor, including banking the excavated earth in layers, consolidation of the top layer with a road roller of minimum 8-tonne capacity, dressing and trimming of side slopes of the bund using tractor to achieve a smooth and uniform finished profile, and disposal of surplus/unsuitable earth with a lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5 m, all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
