| 15 | Note for Item Nos. 1 to 14:-(a) The work pertaining to “smart periodical services” shall be executed only through an authorised applicator of the manufacturer whose materials (i.e. paint/distemper/primer/cement base paint/putty etc.) are proposed to be used by the Contractor and approved by the Garrison Engineer.(b) The Contractor shall upload, along with the documents under Cover–1, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with only one manufacturer as mentioned in the contract; failing which, the bid shall be liable to be rejected. c) The contractor shall submit warranty obtained from the authorised applicator for a period of 5 years. d) The contractor shall procure a minimum of 50% of all items (other than paints) mentioned in this CA within 20 days of obtaining sample approval, and keep them in safe custody to avoid any delay in execution due to non-availability of materials. The contractor shall further ensure that, during the course of work, a minimum of 25% of materials remains available with him until completion of the contract. e) The rate quoted for demolition/dismantling/taking down shall be deemed inclusive of removal of debris from the site and disposal at dumping locations situated anywhere outside MO, BVY, WED, BLO & C Block. f) In all painting works, the contractor shall ensure proper covering of floors, furniture, and nearby items prior to commencement of work, and shall thoroughly clean the area after completion. Any existing paint drops or stains shall be brought to the notice of the Engineer-in-Charge before starting the work. g) The contractor shall maintain separate complaint registers for plumbing and carpentry repair works. Daily complaints shall be recorded with serial number, location, quantity of work, status of complaints, and signature of the In-Charge with office stamp in the prescribed format (to be issued by the Engineer-in-Charge). The contractor shall obtain the In-Charge’s signature on the same day of completion, and the registers shall be submitted to the concerned JE (Civil) every weekend without fail. h) The contractor shall understand that this contract is intended for execution of works during the break period, and shall accordingly deploy adequate manpower to ensure that the entire work is completed within the stipulated period. j) The contractor shall bring the full quantity of paints as per CA in one consignment, and each container shall be numbered using a permanent marker. The empty paint buckets shall be retained safely and produced before the Engineer-in-Charge at the time of bill preparation and for accounting purposes.k) All Smart Periodical works under this contract shall be executed only by mechanical means.
