Stress Relieving of New Fire Pump FoundationsStress relieving of newly fabricated Fire pump foundations shall be carried out to remove residual stresses developed during welding andfabrication. The work includes controlled heating, soaking, and cooling as per applicable standardsThe contractor shall ensure uniform heating up to 620–640°C (for MS,ISO2062 gradeB) with controlled heating and cooling rates, maintainingrequired soaking time based on thickness(22 mm). Temperature shall be monitored using calibrated thermocouples, and complete records shall besubmitted.All necessary equipment, insulation, and skilled manpower shall be arranged by the contractor, and final acceptance will be based on satisfactory inspection and submission of temperature charts.
