Mix Design for Bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/CTL/Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 45.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified is respective items of BOQ, no adjustment shall be made. |

| 37 | Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5 % VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/CTL/Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4 % by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula form lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.(iii) Cost of Filler i.e. rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate. SCHEDULE OF CREDIT Notes:-(a) The items and quantities given under in the respective columns are provisional; however, the rates inserted for credit are firm. The recovery for the credit shall be made for the actual quantities ordered and retrieved from the demolition/dismantling /taking down under respective items of BOQ. Contractor shall be permitted to remove the materials indicated in this credit schedule only after affecting the recovery for the same from the RAR/Final bill as applicable and after written permission is obtained by the contractor from the Engineer-in-Charge. (b) Tenderers are advised to visit the site to ascertain the worth value, prevailing conditions of the existing materials for which credit is to be afforded. No claim whatsoever on account of above shall however be entertained at any stage whether the contractor (s) inspected the site or not. (c) The old materials obtained will not be allowed to be re-used in the work unless it is specifically mentioned in the description of relevant items of BOQ. All other serviceable/ salvage value materials obtained from the site other than those considered in this schedule shall be Govt. property and contrator’s quoted rates shall be deemed inclusive of removing such material to MES store yard of the Engineer-in-Charge, who will take such material on charge. In case of the dispute related to the interpretation of the provision with regard to the credit schedule, the decision of the Accepting Officer shall be final & binding.
