The paint shall be of approved brand, having low VOC, anti‐fungal properties, washable and suitable for high-traffic areas such as schools, offices, hospitals, and institutional buildings. Shade shall be pre-approved before application.Before application, the surface shall be thoroughly cleaned to remove dust, dirt, grease, soot, laitance, algae, loose paint and any other foreign matter. Surface cracks, dents, pores and undulations shall be repaired with approved wall putty or plaster of Paris. The surface shall then be rubbed and smoothened by sandpapering to obtain an even and uniform surface. After completion, stains shall be cleaned and the area handed over in proper condition.Measurement shall be taken in square metres of finished painted surface. | 34 | Providing and Applying Lustre Paint with work includes providing and applying lustre finish paint on internal wall surfaces in required shade, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The material shall be oil-modified or synthetic enamel-based washable lustre paint, with smooth sheen finish. The paint shall conform to Indian Standards IS: 101 (for testing of paint) and IS: 2932 (for enamel paints) or equivalent specifications.
