| 2 | Installation of Single Maintenance Free Earth pit as per RDSO Drawing No. SDO/RDSO/E&B/001 annexure-ll of RDSO STS/E/TAN/3006 Ver 3.1 dated 25.06.2025 or latest which includes the following:-a)Digging/Auguring/Boring of single earth pit of 100mm to 125mm dia. to the depth of approx.3 meter. b) Insertion of 3.0 meter electrode and penetrating it minimum 150 mm by pushing gently with sledge hammer where the natural soil is assumed. (c) Filling of earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (EEC) in slurry form and backfilling. (d) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on single earth electrode to a copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm.(e) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on the copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm on Earth Electrode for connecting four 35 Sq. mm cables for redundancy. (f) Installation includes exothermic welding for bonding the earth system as per STS/E/TAN/3006 (g) Installation also includes supply of the earth pit chamber of dimension300 x 300 x 300 mm of RCC with 50mm thick and fine finish, Inspection chamber should be as per IEC62561-5 or latest. The top RCC cover size shall be 400mmX400mmX50mm. The date of testing and earth resistance value shall be written on the cover with black base with yellow paint. Installation to be done as per STS/E/TAN/3006 Ver 3.1; Dated: 25.06.2025 or latest by OEM only. OEM certificate & warranty certificate (for 60 months from date of commissioning) shall be submit after the installation of earthing & bonding system. Inspection by site engineer. |
| 3 | Supply of 35 Sq. mm PVC insulated Single core Multi strands copper conductor (Red/Black/Green) as perIS:694/2010 or latest, as per Specification No. IRS:S-76/89 or latest. Colour of the wire which is required will be specified by the Engineer in-charge. Inspection by RDSO. |
| 4 | Digging a trench to a depth of at least 0.5 meter and run the four 35 sq. mm earth conductor (procured against supply item) from Earth pit to MEEB. Routing and exothermic termination of four 35 sq. mm earth conductors in trench from earth pit to 300 x25 x 6mm MEEB, which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with two 60mm insulation studs. Inspection by Site engineer |
| 5 | Supply of 10 Sq. mm PVC insulated Single core Multi strands copper conductor (Red/Black/Green) as per IS:694/2010 or latest, as per Specification No. IRS:S-76/89or latest. Colour of the wire which is required will be specified by the Engineer in-charge. Inspection by RDSO. |
| 6 | Routing and connecting all the equipment in the equipment/relay room to SEEB with 10 sq. mm copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steel nut and bolts and fixtures. The work includes laying and routing the copper cable in PVC / conduits and fixing them on wall. Inspection by Site engineer. |
| 7 | Supply of 16 Sq. mm PVC insulated Single core Multi strands copper conductor (Red/Black/Green) as perIS:694/2010 or latest, as per Specification No. IRS:S-76/89 or latest. Colour of the wire which is required will be specified by the Engineer in-charge. Inspection by RDSO. |

| 9 | Supply of 50 mm x 6 mm (GI Strip) Galvanised steel tape for inter connecting the earth pits. Inspection by RDSO. |
| 10 | Digging a trench to a minimum depth of 0.5 meter and laying50x6 mm bare Galvanized steel tape (Interconnecting tape) connecting all the earth pits. Routing and laying 50x6 mm Galvanized steel tape connecting all the earth pits. Carrying out exothermic weld connections on all the earth electrodes to Galvanized steel tape of size 50x6mm for interconnecting the earth pits. It shall be ensured that the distance between any two earth electrodes shall be minimum 3 meter (length of the earth electrode) and max up to 6 meter(twice the length of the earth electrode) to avoid mutual resistance effects. This interconnecting tape shall also be covered with approximately 30 Kg of earth enhancing compound for each 3 meters length. Earth enhancement compound 10Kg along each meter also to be spreaded along the Galvanized steel tape. Inspection by Site engineer |

| 13 | Supply of 25mm x 2 mm bare copper strips in the equipment room. Inspection by RDSO. |
| 14 | Routing and termination of 25x2mm Copper tape/8 mm solid copper round conductor which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with 60mm, 6KVA insulation studs including supply of insulation studs. The separation of the two successive insulation stud should be 600mm apart. Inspection by Site engineer |
| 15 | Supply of earth enhancement material for treatment of earth pits as per Specification No. RDSO/SPN/197/2016 Ver 1.0 or latest. Inspection by RDSO |
| 16 | Earth work for excavation and refilling around location boxes and signals etc. where necessary including 50M lead and 1.5M lift. The lead is to be measured from centre of gravity of location to the centre of filling and lift from main ground level. The earth work should be well rammed including breaking of clods, levelling and dressing etc. as per instruction of Engr. at site. Inspection by Site engineer. |
| 17 | Engaging mechanical excavators like JCB or other machineries for regarding and levelling the formation, Dismantling any infringing structures, clearing and removing debris etc., with all lead and lifts etc., complete and as per the instruction of railway representative at site. Inspection by Site engineer. |
| 18 | Brick work with well burnt bricks in foundations and plinths with cement and sand (ordinary) mixture of 1:4 ratio. All material is to be supplied by the contractor. Inspection by Site engineer. |
| 19 | Cement Concrete of proportion 1:3:6 (Cement: Sand: Stone chips of 25mm nominal size) for miscellaneous items. It includes excavation, ramming of CC by using vibrator, curing and plastering with cement and sand mixture (aggregate will not exceed beyond 3.8 cm). Note: All materials required for foundation are to be supplied by the contractor. Inspection by Site engineer. |
| 20 | Finishing walls with Acrylic Smooth exterior paint of required shade : New work (Two or more coat applied @ 1.67ltr/10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 2.20kg/10 sqm) (Painting & writing work). Inspection by Site engineer. |

| 22 | Conventional earth:- Supply and installation of earth electrodes as per std. practice. The item includes digging of pit in earth, 3 Mtrs. deep and fixing earth electrode pipe. Casting of cement concrete enclosures as per drg. No. (NR/S&T/CON/6.4/97). The soil treatment shall be done as per std. practice. The item includes provn. of mild steel flat of size 35mm x 6mm (as per IRSEM) and nut bolted connection of MS flat with earth electrode. The other end of mild steel flat to be connected to block instrument, cable sheath of power equipment, signal base, apparatus case, CT rack / relay racks, other equipments as per the instruction of Engr. at site & IRSEM. Earthing connection location to location shall be done through cable which shall be provided by Railway. Complete materials such as earth electrodes as per drg. No. (NR/S&T/CON/6. 3/97), cement, wiring material, nut bolt for connection & mild steel flat of size 35mm x 6mm or 210 sqm as per SEM etc. to be supplied by the contractor. Inspection by RITES. |
| 23 | Supply of single spike air terminals of 17.2 mm dia. & 2000 mm length as required and as per site conditions. The air terminal shall be manufactured with Copper Bonded Steel & shall be as per IEC 62561-2. The air terminal shall be fixed with concrete base arrangement.\\" Inspection by RDSO. |

| 27 | Supply of Digital Lightning Strike counter Model: JMV/DLSC-3D or better for counting the number of lightning strikes and has a 3 Digit display facility and also records date and time. The Counter should be mounted on the Down Conductor. The Lightning Counter should be IP 67 rated enclosure suitable for external application. It shall meet the requirements of IEC 62561-6. Inspection by RDSO. |

| 36 | Installation of Class A device on the top of the building. The device shall be installed at a height of about 3 mtrs. From the roof of the building using a GI mast. The device shall be connected to the Earth pit using the down conductor or similar. This down conductor shall be run firmly along the side of the mast with the help of the spacers. It shall also be ensured that this down conductor shall not touch the building throughout. The down conductor shall be connected to the earth Electrode using Exothermic Welding. A counter shall be installed at an appropriate place to count the number of occurrences.
