| 163 | (a) Reporting to Complaint Cell and Submission of Compliance Report : The Contractor shall depute a competent and authorized Supervisor/Tradesmen (Carpenter/Plumber etc) for day-to-day maintenance works under this contract. The Contractor’s Supervisor shall report to the Complaint Cell/Engineer’s office every working day at 0900 hrs sharp without fail to collect the complaints registered in Online complaint handling system/ARMAAN/complaint register/ written order/ telephonic message up to that time. After attending and rectifying the complaints. The Contractor's rep shall obtain the user's signature in token of satisfactory completion on the prescribed complaint slip/receipt. The duly signed complaint slips/receipts shall be submitted to the concerned Junior Engineer (JE) on the same day or on the next working day, as directed, for verification and record. Failure of the Supervisor to report at the stipulated time or failure to submit duly signed complaint receipts shall be treated as non-compliance of contract conditions and shall attract penalty as mentioned in para (b) below. |
| 164 | (b) Penalty for delay in attending maintenance complaints :The Contractor shall attend all day-to-day maintenance complaints within 24 hours from the time of receipt of complaint/intimation through Online complaint handling system/ARMAAN/complaint register/ written order/ telephonic message duly recorded, or any other authorized mode of communication from the JE/ Engineer-in-Charge. In case the Contractor fails to attend and commence necessary remedial action within the stipulated period, compensation @ Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) per complaint per day or part thereof shall be levied for the period of delay. The compensation so levied shall be recovered from the Contractor’s Running Account (RA) bills, Final Bill, Security Deposit, or any other sum due or which may become due to the Contractor under this contract. The decision of the Engineer-in-Charge regarding the number of days of delay and the quantum of compensation shall be final. |
| 165 | (c) Attendance of Emergency nature Complaints on Holidays/Sundays : The Contractor shall attend to complaints of emergency nature such as non-availability of water supply, burst/broken water pipelines, major leakages or any other complaint categorized as urgent by the Engineer-in-Charge. Such emergency complaints shall be attended immediately, but not later than 4 hours from the time of receipt of intimation, irrespective of whether the day is a working day, Sunday or Gazetted Holiday. |
| 166 | (d) Provision of Scaffolding, Ladders, T&P and Safety Gears for Workers : The Contractor shall make his own arrangements for all scaffolding, ladders, staging, tools & plant (T&P), safety equipment, and any other implements required for execution of day-to-day maintenance works under this contract. No extra payment whatsoever shall be made to the Contractor on account. The rates quoted by the Contractor shall be deemed to include the cost of all such arrangements, including labour, transportation, loading/unloading, and compliance with safety regulations.
