| 1 | Taking down/out of old unserviceable earthing, M & L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level, connected to galvanised strip earth lead 32X6mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvd iron or steel. Earth plate surrounded by 15 cm thick packed layers of charcoal dust and common salt upto 1.5 meter depth all around the earth plate and connected to galvanised earth lead and protected by galvanized iron or steel pipe light grade 40 mm bore and water pipe 20mm bore GI medium grade with funnel and wire mesh, including all necessary excavation and earth work PCC chamber in cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 and RCC pit cover and all as shown in electrical plate No 5 of MES Standard Schedule Pt I of 2009 and also including testing of earthing, earthing value not less than 2 ohm and made of earthing test point made out of gun metal or phosphorous bronge size 75x75x25 mm complete all as specified and directed. Note : 1. RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-I , 80mm thick reinforced with XPM weighting not less than 4 KG/sqmm in lieu of CI cover.2. Charcoal dust and common salt upto 1.5 meter depth shall be filled in layers of 15 centimeters all around the earth plate inside earth pit . On testing after completion of earthing if desired earth resistance is not achieved , the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to obtain the desired earth values less than 2 ohms.3. The cost of GI earth lead and GI pipe of 7.50m lenth for protection of GI wire and excavationwork fpr pit shall deemed to be included in this item. 4. Earthing will be made in the presence of JE/Engr-in-charge |
| 2 | M&L for repair and maintenance of existing chemical/conventional earthing and connected works ie. funnel, water/protection pipe, welding, brazing, earth work etc including taking out old unserviceable earthing materails , earth plates of any type /size and testing of earthing complete all as specified and directed. Note :- 1. Earth work and excavation, common salt, charcoal dust, earthing pit and cover, test point terminal block, earth enhencement compound, GI pipe etc will be measure and paid seperately under respective items of sch 'A'. 2.
