M&L for Removal of paint deposits from runway surface using Water blasting cum vacuuming machine with suitable operating pressure so that the total paint deposits are removed from the runway surfaces (both rigid and flexible) by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & without any damage to the existing surface complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge

M&L for Removal of Rubber deposits from runway surface using Water blasting cum vacuuming machine with suitable operating pressure so that the total Rubber deposits are removed from the runway surfaces (both rigid and flexible) by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & without any damage to the existing surface complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge Note : Ref PS Clause No 5.1.(iii) for details of equipment

NOTES:(i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator(ii) Total rubber/paint deposit should be removed and the debris / water vacuumed simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) Rubber/paint deposit debris should be in solid form when finally disposed.(iv) In any emergency condition the machine should exit from the runway in less than 2 mins without leaving FOD. (v) Friction Test should be carried out using portable friction testing machine before & after Rubber deposit removal operation.(vi) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, the friction reading of the rubber/paint removed segment should be minimum 0.55 µ.(vii) The surface of both concrete / bitumen (rigid/flexible) shall not get any kind of damages during the process of rubber removal nor to any adjoining areas, joint filling etc. Damages made if any, shall be made good by the contractor as per the specifications of the Engr - in - charge without any extra cost. (viii) Work will be carried out in phase manner as per availability of runways .(ix) Proper agreement should be done with the owner of the machine.

M&L for Applying evenly one coat of solution of Polymer modified emulsion (PME) of approved make on Bituminous portion of Runway as specified and directed. Note: a) Solution of One Ltrs of diluted solution of Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) with water in the ratio 1:1 will be applied on the decided place with a maximum coverage area of 1.00 Sqm.b). Application of PME should be done through authorized agency by Mechanical Spraying machine with Spray Nozzle Assembly mounted in 30mm dia carbon Fiber Reinforced Flexible Pipe(CFRP).

M & L for preparation of surface of any description and painting adequate no. of coats of Lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on Bituminous / Concrete portion of Runway surface, pavements and the like exc 10cm wide with water based road marking paint (white, yellow etc.) by mechanical means of approved make.

M & L for Racking out extg. Joints , width of joints exc 10 mm but n exc. 15 mm wide and depth of joints exc 15 mm but n exc. 25 mm deep of slabs of pavements for removing old damaged sealant from joints cleaning the surfaces by means of air compressor or vacuum cleaner and M&L for joint filling with polyurethane sealant conforming to BS - 5212 (type FB) after applying primer and masking tape on front edge of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant including required back up rod and removing masking tape after sealent has been applied complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Racking out extg. Joints , width of joints exc 15mm but n exc. 40 mm wide and depth of joints exc 20 mm but n exc. 30 mm deep of slabs of pavements for removing old damaged sealant from joints cleaning the surfaces by means of air compressor or vacuum cleaner and M&L for joint filling with polyurethene sealant conforming to BS - 5212 (type FB) after applying primer and masking tape on front edge of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant, including required back up rod and removing masking tape after sealent has been applied complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floor and paving n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level,complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for cement concrete 1:2:4 type B2,using 40mm graded stone aggregate in surface channels and drains ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Note for Ser Item No 1.00 to 8.00: 1) Entire work is to be carried out at day and night as specified and directed by the Engr - in - charge . 2) Machines for Rubber/ Paint removal and PME should be kept at site upto the completion of the contract or as directed by the Engr -in - charge .
