Non combustible as per BS:476 (part-4), fire performance as per BS:476 (part 6 &7), humidity resistance of 100%, thermal conductivity <0.043 W/m K as per ASTM 518:1991, comprising of a frame made from galvanised mild steel sheet 0.50 mm thick pressed section (galvanizing @120 grams per sqm including both sides) i.e.vertical studs of size 48 x 34 x 36 mm are placed at 600mm center to center in a floor and ceiling channel section of size 50 x 32m fixed to the floor and soffit at 600mm centers using 12mm dia,50mm long wedge type expanded zinc alloy dash fastner with 10mm bolt. This same channel is then to be fixed in horiziontal direction at 600mm center to center so as to form a grid of 600mm x 600mm. Glasswool of 50mm thickness is then to be inserted in the slots and finally calcium silicate non combustible panels/tiles are to be screw fixed with self tapping pan head nickel coated mild steel screws of size 13 x 3.2mm on to this grid leaving an even groove of 1 mm between the panels. The joints between the panels are to be duly jointed and finished using recommended jointing calcium silicate based compound and fiber joint tape roll 50mm wide (90 metre )roll and two coats of primer suitable for panelling as per manufacturer's specification as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge all complete. |
| 92 | Low Height partition: Providing and fixing low height partition of total height 5’-0”, consisting of a solid laminated portion of 4’-0\\" height and a glass portion of 1'-0\\" height above, placed centrally within the partition thickness, with flanking laminated panels on either side.The partition framework shall be made from 2” x 2” Aluminium box sections (16 gauge) for vertical members spaced at intervals not exceeding 2’-0” c/c, and 2” x 1” Aluminium box sections at floor/skirting level, intermediate level, and at 3’-6” height.The solid panel portion up to 3’-6” and the vertical flanks above (along the sides of the glass) shall be clad on both faces with 12mm thick BWR grade plywood, finished with 1.0 mm thick laminate on both sides of approved shade and texture.The 1'-0” high central glass panel shall be made of 12mm thick clear toughened glass, fixed in the center of the partition thickness (i.e., between the two plywood panels above the 3’-6” level), with a minimum 1” plywood/lip frame on both sides, creating a continuous laminated panel from floor to 4’-0” height on either side. The glass shall be held securely in place using bidding patti of sal wood, mitre-jointed and finished neatly, providing clean lines and a flush border against the surrounding plywood. All exposed edges of plywood and laminate shall be sealed with 0.8 mm thick PVC edge banding, machine-applied to match the laminate finish. All aluminium sections shall be straight, rust-free, mitre-cut, and mechanically fixed. All visible joints in laminate or between plywood sheets shall be sealed and finished smooth. The work shall be completed as per the detailed architectural drawings and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. |
