The stabilizer shall be copper wound Out door Type. I) The voltage stabilizer shall be suitable for the following configurations:- a) Input Voltage: 160-460 Volts b) Output Voltage: 415 + 1% c) Frequency: 50 Hz + 3% A.C supply d) Output current: 180.00 amps per phase e) Duty: continuous 24x7 f)Temp. Rise in Oil:-50 degree C g) Temp. II) Instrument Accessories: The voltage stabilizer shall be provided with as under:-a) Mains ON indicating lamps for each phase.b) Indicating lamps in each phase with lights up/ audio alarm when the input voltage exceeds beyond limit or overload or phase failure/phase reversal. c) Voltmeter at input & output with voltage selector switch to read input/output voltage in each phase. d) Switch to change over from automatic to manual operation .e) Auto/manual switch raise/lower push button in each phase. f) Ampere meter with selector switch. g) Control circuit separate in each phase. h) Protection against high & low voltage, single phasing, cut off alarm, its cancellation, short circuiting, overload protection and earth fault relay. i) By Pass Arrangements:- By pass switch shall be provided to by pass the stabilizer in case of any fault. j) Heavy terminal blocks and solid state controlled circuit for input, output and earth connections, which should be clearly marked. k) Protections: Suitable capacity MCCB for tripping the stabilizer in case of under voltage, over voltage, short circuit, overload, single phasing conditions . l) Efficiency at full load more than 95%. The stabilizer should be conforming to IS 9815/1981. m) Purity of copper shall be minimum 99.97% (Certificate from manufacturer shall be attached along with the Invoice). n) The stabilizer should have aesthetic outlook with screen printed panel.Make of Instrument Accessories: G.E./ L&T / Siemens / Schneider / Havells/other reputed make conforming to relevant ISI code). III) Characteristic features:- The three phase Servo Controlled Automatic Voltage Stabilizer shall have the following characteristic features:- a) Continuous duty performance at ambient temperature 2 °C to 55° C. b) Stable and effective system power factor and frequency fluctuation as well as overload up to 15% and under load up to 50% of the connected load. c) Low internal impedance. d) Negligible wave form distortion during starting, under operation and stopping conditions. e) Accommodate the effect of higher starting current and should be able to recover from the shock. f) No overshooting or hunting. g) Negligible phase shift ensuring no change in system power factor. h) Should ensure fast correction of voltage according to voltage variation specified. i) The stabilizer shall have a suitable breather with leak-proof desludging and drain cock for transformer oil, lifting hook for mechanical handling, guage for oil level etc. j) The three phase unbalanced automatic servo controlled voltage stabilizer should take care of the unbalanced supply with A.C step synchronous motor.IV) Markings:- The stabilizer shall be marked with manufacture’s name and trade mark on the plate fitted on the stabilizer and indicate KVA rating, range of input and output voltage, rated output current, frequency, number of phases, type of load viz unbalanced input and balanced load, quantity of transformer oil and also reference to I.S. standard. In addition, the information relevant to Servo-Motor viz Rated KW, Rated Voltage, Type of Supply and No. of Phases etc. shall also be given on the rating plate. V) Testing & Inspection:- The equipment shall be inspected and tested before dispatch to the consignee by the third party. The firm shall have adequate testing facilities available at their work site. The scope of inspection shall include testing of stabilizer as per type of test prescribed in IS-9815 of 1994 and 8447 of 1989 as relevant to Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizers. It shall also include testing of voltage stabilizer for all protections. The testing of the stabilizer shall comprise of the following tests:- a) Insulation resistance test. b) High Voltage test. c) Under voltage test. d) Provision of earthling. e) Leakage current test. f) No load current test. g) Measurement of no load losses. h) Load loss test and efficiency. i) Induced voltage test. j) Test for continuous operation. k) Temperature rise test at lowest voltage of 260 volts. l) Test for rate of correction. m) Locked rotor test for servo motor. n) Full load test. VI) Layout of Components/Drawings:- Layout of Components and control wiring shall conform to established engineering practice from the consideration of case for maintenance.VII) The job involves shifting of stabilizer to site by way of lifting, carriage and unloading manually or with mechanical crane and installation of the stabilizer, providing and laying of insulation mats etc. Complete job in all respects.
