| 1 | LABORATORY WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEMType-2 grade water purification systemThe unit should purify water byReverse osmosis (RO) and ElectrochemicalDeionization (EDI) processShould comprise pretreatment cartridge, RO Module &EDI module.• System should able to handle feed water with followingspecifications• Conductivity : up to 2000 µS/cm• Free Chlorine : up to 3 ppm• Silt Density Index / Fouling Index : up to 12• The pre-treatment cartridge should consist of activated carbonwith silver impregnation, anti-scaling compound, and a 0.5 µmdepthfilter to remove chlorine, oxidation agents, scalants and particles fromthe feed water.• RO module should consist of suitable polyamide RO membrane withrejection efficiency of 94% or higher, cut-off limit of ~200 daltonswith provisions of automatic back flushing with RO permeate water.• System should have conductivity measurement before and after ROmembrane for measurement & display of percentage rejection.• Should have a protection valve after RO to prevent water fromentering EDI in case of RO malfunction.• There should be provision for either softener cartridge or anyother inbuilt mechanism in EDI stack to prevent scale formation atcathode.• The EDI Stackshould consist of self-regenerating electro-deionization resin for removal of ions and organics from RO water.• Output water from the unit should be type-2 grade water withfollowing technical specifications• Typical Resistivity :>5 MΩ.cm• Typical conductivity: <(><<)>0.2 µS/cm• Flow rate of output water ≥3 liters/hr.• The unit should have a display for coductivity of input and outputwater, rejection rate monitor, tank level, temperatureType-2 Water Storage tank :• The tank should have a storage capacity of 50 L or comptiable withcomplete housing and tubing.• Should have a tap for dispensing type 2 water.System Information :1.
