For patches in grid pattern or periphery of patches with 2 to 4 anodes/m2 (to be confirmed as per designed) area of concrete, the spacing can be 430 to 610 mm or as per manufacturer's specifications or designs. The anode size and shaping shall deliver a minimum current density to the steel adjacent to the repair of 0.4/0.8 mA/m2 (choose as per the chloride content) of steel surface area at the end of the design life based on the chloride level of <0.8% / 0.8-1.5% / >1.5% [choose as per the test results] by weight of cement taking into account an anode aging factor calculated from previous field installations and the in-service environment. Anodes should meet the target service life, which can be estimated using Galvanic Anode Performance (GAP) test developed at IIT Madras for severe exposure condition (high humid and high chloride conditions), GAP test results from IIT Madars/ Bombay shall be made availble by conntractor on his cost & no extra payment will paid for GAP test. |
| 7 | The Canodes shall be covered with Conductive bed-mortar of resistivity less than 50 kOhm-cm or similar to the parent concrete on the cleaned steel reinforcement as per manufacturers specification before applying passivation coating. All necessary design calculations for spacing of Canodes, installation training, installation confirmation, monitoring of set of anodes to confirm current from anodes as per ISO 12696 or as per the design, etc. shall be carried out by a NACE Certified CP Technician, CP2 or higher, complete at all heights and including of all materials, labour, tools, plants and machineries as directed by Engineer-in-charge and/or consultant.RATES INCLUDES Supply, installation, spacing calculation, designing, QAP, GAP test etc. Approved brand shall be from registered applicator. GAP Test should be performed on the cost of contractor. |
