1. System Overview• System Type: Air-cooled, direct expansion (DX) VRF Heat Pump system (or Heat Recovery for simultaneous heating/cooling).• Refrigerant: R-410A (Environmentally friendly).• Capacity Modulation: 10% to 100% capacity control via inverter-driven scroll compressors.• Operating Ambient: Capable of operating between -5°C to 48°C (cooling/heating). 2. Outdoor Units (Condensing Units) • Compressor: 100% DC Inverter Scroll Compressors, factory-assembled, weatherproof casing (heavy gauge steel).• Performance: Minimum COP of 3.5 at 100% load.• Features: Automatic oil balancing, liquid injection for high ambient cooling, oil separators for each compressor.• Mounting: Vibration isolators (rubber/spring type), MS base frame/pedestal on roof/ground.• Electrical: Weatherproof MCB/MCCB enclosure, 3-phase power, 4-pole isolator near units. 3. Indoor Units (Fan Coil Units) • Types: High wall mounted, 4-way Cassette, Concealed Ductable (High/Low Static), Floor Standing.• Component: Factory-fitted electronic expansion valve (EEV).• Features: Inbuilt drain pump (for cassettes), anti-microbial filters.• Control: Wireless/Wired LCD remote controller, ability to set individual zone temperature.• Fixing: Threaded rods, clamps, and support framework for ceiling suspension. 4. Refrigerant Piping System (Copper) • Material: Seamless copper pipes, ASTM B280, Type 'L' or 'K'.• Insulation: 19 mm (or 25mm for high ambient) thick Nitrile Rubber Insulation (closed cell) on both suction and liquid lines.• Joints/Fittings: Factory-manufactured branch joints (Y-joints or Refnet joints).• Fixing: MS hangers, clamps, and supports for piping.• Installation: Brazing with nitrogen purging to prevent oxidation. 5. Drain Piping• Material: Rigid UPVC Pipes (IS: 4985 - Class I).• Insulation: 9 mm thick closed cell nitrile rubber insulation.• Fixing: Supported with proper slope (>1%) to avoid water stagnation. 6. Control and Communication Wiring• Cable Type: 2-core x 1.5 sqmm shielded twisted pair copper cable for transmission.• Conduit: PVC conduit (25mm dia) for all control cabling (surface/recessed).• Isolation: Separate routing for power and communication cables to avoid interference. 7. Electrical Power & Controls• Power Cable: XLPE insulated aluminium armored cable (suitable sizes, e.g., 4C x 10 sqmm).• Safety: Earthing with 6 SWG GI wire.• Central Control: Centralized intelligent touch-screen controller for managing multiple indoor units. 8. Installation, Testing & Commissioning • Pressure Testing: Nitrogen leak test at 550 PSIG for 24 hours.• Vacuumization: Deep vacuum to 500 microns.• Charging: Top-up refrigerant R-410A based on calculated pipe length.• Testing: 14-day performance/reliability run test. 9. Estimation Considerations (Fittings & Fixing Materials)• Refrigerant Joints: Y-joints (Refnets) for branch piping.• Piping Support: Hangers, U-clamps, and threaded rods.• Insulation Tape: Nitrile rubber tape for joints.• Finishing: White cement or sealant for wall openings.• Cable Trays: GI perforated cable trays for exposed wiring/piping.
